For the modern country lovers...I love these 2 songs...some of you may have heard of these.
Morgan Wallen- Chasin' You
Old Dominion- One Man Band

Old Dominion are fantastic, especially live!!!
Morgan Wallen is a little too FGL for me....
Check out Midland if you don't know them already, they are like modern 80's country.

Midland! Who doesn't know 'em....Burn out...great song

I sing Mr Lonely with my band. Or at least i will if we ever get to go to the pub again.....

I have my entire music collection on shuffle at the moment, about 6000 songs lol, and thought I'd share a couple. Hey no Pearl Jam yet.

In isolation, I've been getting into different music and listening to things I didn't or wouldn't usually like...it's good finding some bands/singers, etc. that aren't well-known but produce quality music

I'm a metal head and I found myself listening to Slim Dusty the other day...

Did you enjoy Slim @TillLindemann?.... He's one of my favorites.
There's nothing more Aussie the Slim Dusty, and apparently such a down to earth and decent Man.
I believe his wife wrote most of his songs.

Interestingly enough, my family travelled through the NT with Slim and Joy when I was about 10 years old. My great uncle was a cousin of Joy, it was an amazing trip as Slim got us into places like Peppimenarti. He really was a pretty nice guy, Joy was just lovely and was very good with my brothers and myself who were quite unruly. lol

Man oh man @cochise what a great time in your life, and something very few people get the opportunity to share.
Why he wasn't given the honour of a Knighthood for his contribution to Ozzie music and folklore I'll never understand.
At least there is now the Slim Dusty Centre in Kempsey.

Yeah it was a good trip, we did the NT trip about 5 times growing up, that trip was a little more memorable because Slim came as well, just the places he could get us into were amazing. He was with us for about a month on that trip, it made the nights around the campfire a bit more interesting though he was reluctant to play much music which was a bit of a shame.

I remember making a river crossing in Kakadu where our caravan started to float as we crossed. Slim was very hesitant to follow us through with his caravan lol. I actually wish I knew how to play guitar at that point in time as it would have been pretty cool to play a song with him even though I'm not a fan of country music.

Banned by conservative radio so of course it had to be the first song ever played on the new JJ station.

Weird coincidence but i think my parents bought that van quite a few years later. there was some relation to Joy on my mothers side from memory. It was an old white Viscount with light blue stripes which they had had since new. One of mum's cousins bought it off of them and then we bought it and i lived in it for a while out the back when i started my apprenticeship. You and i are likely related somewhere along the lines. My mother's mother's family were all from around Aberdeen. The Waldens.

Good song, loved Marianne Faithfull, especially "Come and stay with me" written by Jackie DeShannon in 1965 for her.

***** If anyone is interested - Marianne was hospitalised in London after testing positive to Corona Virus in early April.

Happy to say that Marianne has been discharged from hospital, 22 days after being admitted suffering from the symptoms of Covid-19. She is going to continue to recuperate in London.

My parents probably have a pic of that van somewhere, I have distinct memory of a photo being taken standing in front of his caravan with Slim, Joy, my brothers and I.

Is this the best song of all time? Would definitely be in top 10. The piano is quickened to mimic the sound of a harp. The result is pure Lennon magic.
