What the hell? Looks like someone in admin screwed up!

This is whats bulls**t about the salary cap. Teams like Wests, Penriff, Canberra and Parramatta are expected to forfeit their juniors purely because the teams without juniors generally choose to buy the best cause they have the backing of the big end of town.

This is a rort of its own accord and Gallop knows it. At least the Storm were making headways into developing their own Victorian juniors, unlike one Eastern Suburbs/Sydney City/Bondi Roosters. Christ knows whats going to happen once that fallout from the salary cap debacle is fully realised but the game has taken a massive hit at grassroots level in Victoria.

I don't like seeing clubs moved or dissolved but Cronulla need to be relocated to the Central Coast, and St.George have to take over the Sutherland. Its unreasonable that the NRL expects Brisbane, Canberra, Parramatta, Penriff and Wests to stock the league without any compensation for development or concessions for those clubs to keep the cream of the crop.

Hmmm….well this isn't a breach yet...cause Humphreys has to fix the situation because of the ruling....something other Clubs don't seem to bother with...

Wests Tigers haven't hidden any payments deliberatly....How can they be fined.....

Based on the "talent" we had at the club that year Ron, Warren McDonnell should have been sacked on the spot for that gem.

It makes me squirm thinking about what we paid some of these nuffies in the past… :frowning:

Yes Ron…HaHa thanks for proving my point....Under Noyce things where Ummm.....done a lot differently...

Since Humphreys has arrived consultation with the NRL...eg Lortay's contract, Farah and Gibbs consessions, Third party payments for Bunji (Ch 9 deal) have been done in a much more professional manner to ensure breaches of this nature don't cost the Wests Tigers now and in the future....

missed the point again....

My solution: Sue the NRL.

When approached by The Daily Telegraph yesterday, Humphreys last night said "common sense" dictated the Jersey Flegg and Toyota Cup be deemed the same, thus entitling the club to long-service bonuses.

This is common sense

no geo the point is weve been fined before for cap breaches it doesnt matter who the CEO was at the time, and we were fined for having to pay extra payments that were built into players contracts like rep footy aswell as match payments to other players when we had injured players.

you are trying to portray it like noyce was doing under the table dealings when that isnt even close

I said done differently like assuming the payment we where fined for breach of a third Party deal I think it was…was legit .... and not taking into account players on Rep duty....I won't even go into backloading....

Did we have any Rep Players in 2008.......

Humphreys is.....Salary Cap expenditure is calculated at the End of the Year....

Clubs dont pay there players a year in advance.... players outside the top 25 who play, June 30 deadline etc is all taken into account at the end......you have just said that in your post

Fines for breaches of Cap have occured at seasons end.....Unless you get busted see Storm, Bulldogs......You know when you actually know what you spent....

Common sense and the nrl just don't go together.

The administration of the game is a farce. We'll never have the presence the AFL does because of stupid little things like this that happen all the time
