What to do with BJ?

If BJ is moved on, I hope it doesn't impact Luch

It will of course. If I recall, We ended up with Lucy over they way he and his brother were treated. They will spin the same stuff again.

Tell BJ and his manager his services will no longer be required for next year. Also tell them if he can’t get his head in the right space he won’t be playing First grade again this year. Barring injuries I don’t see him playing first grade again for us.

If that's the case then they will both be without a club
No one will sign BJ the way he has been playing lately
Except maybe Des perate from Manly
Or Barrett's Still a Dragon the team down
Or Cleary Lee no idea who to sign at Penrith

Simpkin is so much better than Mbye. Needs to be in the team

Can he cover fullback, centre, halves?

I'd slot BJ in the team. If he has earned his recall or not, we'll see. We need everyone on-board this week.

You mean we don't want to win?

Maybe if you watched the reserves game you’d change your mind

For a bloke that showed no ticker against the roosters he was even less than impressive against the knights b grade team

Pure plodder

What's with all the Hayton on Payton?

I can’t see Madge bringing BJ back on what he produced for Magpies.
He may have lost 10kg but he doesn’t look fit and enthusiastic. His defence was poor, didn’t chase hard and he is standing too flat in attack. Our backline showed some good depth and shape, would be a tragedy for them not to improve on that by putting BJ back in. Just my opinion.

His brother struggles with lateral speed also, it scares me when people sidestep near him, but it isn't as crucial in his position.

Probably better than Mbye at all those positions

Dont let the euphoria of a talented kid get the better of you...Simpkin will be a very good player in the next couple of years...if he gets a run in the game against the EELs he will be absolutely targeted and if he gets injured his confidence will be shattered and his progress will be on the backward slide...he is exciting but Madge knows best,Jake will make his debut for us probably later this year...I favour gradually putting the young ones into the NRL,to many have been rushed and then fallen by the wayside...I would like to keep Jake for many years to come as a healthy NRL star....

BJ has been given a good kick in the backside by Madge..its up to him to prove he wants to be back in the NRL side and deliver his devestating best that we all know he can be...
Unfortunately some players seem to think they have reached the ultimate when they get various awards and reputations...BJ in my opinion is in this headspace at the moment,a good wake up call is what he needs and now its up to him to deliver or be moved on ....
He is his own worst enemy and he is the only one that can reclaim his former reputation and form, otherwise he will become another also ran with a huge reputation and little output...

This is his second year. ESL appears to be his next stop.

The game is faster, he is older, his lateral movement is not ideal for a centre and he doesn't have the fitness for NSW Cup or the workrate for second row.
