What will be our strengths and weaknesses for 2014

We will improve heaps next year we have gun young halfs in Luke Brooks and Blake Austin with Mitch Moses to play sometime next year as well. Our backline will be a gun one next year with fast wingers and centres. We have a bigger foward pack next year and with big name signings to happen next year. We just have to sign good assistant coaches and a defence coach.

Kicking should improve, Brooks, Austin , Richards g/k

Defense and fitness is the concern

Haven't seen a great deal of Austin what's his kicking game like in general play?

Not too sure i havent seen a lot of hime either, but the little I have he stood out, someone here mentioned he kicks goals, I assume playing in the halves he does GP kicking too.

Someone mentioned consistency as a strenght….I cant see that with the youth in the team....thatll take an extra year or tewo I think

Its a long long road back...several seasons imo

Strengths:
- Farah and Woods
- Great wingers
- The young guys coming through are showing great enthusiasm and are not overawed
- Players who have been going through the motions are being moved on to allow hungry juniors the chance
- Possible invigoration of new coaching staff
- Possible improved kicking games in general play

Weaknesses:
- Defence is still shocking
- Attack is still shocking
- Potter at this stage looks like an average coach
- Board room dramas to continue
- Possible player revolts (happens every year)
- Lack of a big bopper angry prop and backrower
- No settled halfback
- No settled 5/8
- Very green fullback still
- Centers that need a lot of work
- Lack of consistency
- Sheens and his law suit….

There is probably more but in my mind this all adds up to a 10th placed finish at best

Strengths:

Wingers;
Starting front row
Backline speed;
Young, dynamic talent coming through the grades;
Goalkicking, field goal kicking;
A bigger forward pack than 2013;
New coaching structure;
CEO who appears to be very switched on and is implementing some much needed changes at the club.

Weaknesses:

Defence (until proven otherwise);
Uncertainty over starting halves;
Experience in the halves;
Backrow options need to be considered carefully, we have more size but Potter needs to sort out the bludgers, the impact players and the workers;
Attacking structure and execution need to improve noticeably;
Board room issues…
And I'm sure there's others that escape me right now.

Thinking positive…

Fresh start / Dead wood (BM) gone
New clean design strips
Fresh start at ANZ (perhaps)
Exciting youth coming through ranks
Benji, Aysford and possibly Moltzen gone
Richards back (2005 memories re-kindled)
Potter able to prepare for the 2014 season
