What Will Make a Successful 2023

Looks like pretty much all performance, physio and rehab people from last year have been axed and replaced.

For those wondering who the new football staff are after the clean-out:

Tim Sheens — NRL Head Coach

Warren McDonnell — Football Operations and Recruitment Manager

Billy Callaway — NRL Team Manager

Louise Mancuso — Football Operations Assistant

Benji Marshall — NRL Assistant Coach

Robbie Farah — NRL Assistant Coach

David Furner — NRL Assistant Coach

Simon Dwyer — NRL Video Analyst & Coaching Consultant

Kassidy Grant — Video Analyst Assistant

Peter Moussa — Head of High Performance

Aaron Zimmerman — NRL Athletic Performance Coach

Graeme Morris — Rehab Performance Coach

Jackson Privett — NRL Sport Scientist

Pat Williams — NRL Physiotherapist

Dr. Peter Lorentzos — Chief Medical Officer

Mohammed Baba — Club Doctor

Vince Marando — Gear Manager

Ronnie Palmer — Trainer

Caitlin Reid — Nutritionist

Alan Thompson — Education & Wellbeing Manager
Great list KR, nice to know there are other humans involved.

Was just at the player + staff meet-and-greet/signing session at Narellan with my younger brother.

Almost the whole Top 30 squad was there + Development Players (and Brandon Mansfield, making me think he's taken Matamua's spot as a Development Player after Matamua's upgrade to the Top 30).

Only ones that weren't there were Isaiah, Api and Doueihi.

Benji, Sheens, Heighno, also in attendance.

Can tell the club is really trying to win the fans over; Sheens and Benji were especially appreciative and thankful, made sure to thank everyone for their support.

klemmer = Tough go forward prop , it’s been years
Appi. , very. Very good hooker organiser , pressure off Brooks
Pappi , Hard line running back rower , class
Bateman ( If ) Hard running back rower , class
Steph , up and coming go forward
Blore , up and coming aggressive
Pole , up and coming Hard as nails
Stains , Speed
AD , big Running 5/8
Brooks will be given a simple plan and job to do , he will go well

That looks good on paper hey. The Broncos should have done better on paper too but the chemistry in the team wasn't good enough to take them to a GF.
We had the chemistry in 05.
I like Klemmer and Papa in the pack, they've been there and done it as far as rolling up the sleeves.... important to lead the young bucks in Stef, Blore, Pole etc.

Top 8 spot.
8th is an improvement but is it a success... to get bundled out in week one like what happened to the Broncos when they pipped us for the 8th spot.
We should be aiming for top 4.

I'm cool with top 8. If anything that would be an over-achievement.

I agree with what Ink stated as well but the problem is that I think in the modern game when teams get a roll on you just get smashed.

Yep teams like us did, but the good teams like Storm, Souths etc stay in the fight.
That should be out motto "stay in the fight"
Magpies and Tigers are aggressive buggers.
