X2 I like this team. I don't see Blair as a loose player, he has only scored 5 tries in his NRL career & Wests need 2nd rowers scoring tries

Marshall to fullback, Reddy to the centres with Lawrence, ayshford to lock, Heino to the bench, Lui to 5/8 and Miller to half. Grant, Lote and Ryan to be in there somewhere as well. (Grant is big and fast and can score tries. A smokey for one wing spot).

Forwards:- Gallaway Farah (we need a back up for Robbie fast), Woods, Ellis, Blair, Ayshford.

Reserves:- Heino, Groat, MM, Bell, Utai (he can cover both backs and forwards), Begovitch.

A couple of the under 20's to get a run during the year. Tedesco, the young Fijian winger and both centres.

Agree with most of your points here, but Marshall to fullback and Ayshford to lock….. What the! :roll

Cant see Marshall @ fullback you must remember he is one of the worlds best 5/8, & i dont think Ayshford will be moved to lock considering the year he has had in the centres.

I agree with Magpiecol. You can see that Sheensy wants to move Ayshford into the 2nd row from a few shifts he has done this year. He has good skills, defense and has the size. Plus, Humphreys himself mentioned about Benji to fullback.

I personally think Benji to fullback would be a sensation. Lets face it, his major strength is running the ball running in broken play. If Miller/Lui/Siro are our halves, we might gain a more structured attack and we wouldn't see them running the ball on the last with 4 to go. Benji can chime in to 2nd receiver when ever he wants, like Moltzen does.

Benji also has great goal line defense. He has held players up quite a few times over the years.

It would play to his strengths and minimize his kicking roll, which he ain't the best at. Can you imagine Benji running onto those set plays through the holes?? I hope Sheensy tries it.

no no no no no

benji wont be fullback. he would have to put his body on the line too much when they put through little kicks. i dont want to see him start getting injuries again. i dont even think he would be all that good under the high ball. he is the best five eighth in the world and will stay in the 6.

why would we move ayshford when we have fulton and ellis for the 2nd row and heighinton at lock. ayshford has improved at centre and should stay there

i think Tedesco will still be a bit young next year but he will kill it in the under 20s

I think the fullback spot will be between Reddy and Brown. If Utai stays with the club, he'll probably be sharing a bench spot with whoever out of Reddy and Brown don't get the fullback spot.

1\. Reddy/Brown
2\. Lote
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Ryan
6\. Benji
7\. Lui
8\. Blair
9\. Farah
10\. Sauce
11\. Fults
12\. Ellis
13\. Rhino

14\. Utai/Brown/Reddy
15\. Bell
16\. Woods
17\. Groat

With BMM, Grant, Tedesco, Koroibete, Miller, Siro and Begovich hovering around to fill any gaps with any injuries that we will hopefully not pick up next year, *fingers crossed*

Lockyer was a brilliant fullback until he became a brilliant 5/8\. No reason that Marshall could not do the same in reverse.

If you have watched the games lately, Ayshford has been moved into the forwards on a number of occasions. He would be a great lock (he was a lock forward at the Roosters remember).

Heino who is playing very well, is not getting any younger and would be terrific off the bench along with Groat/Begovitch/BMM (must get him fit in the off season)/Bell/Utai.

All this talk of players changing positions is crazy. Benji is one of the worlds best five eighths. Why move him? He will go down as one of the greats. Moving Ayshford is also crazy.

My team would be.
1\. Mitch Brown
2\. Lote Tuquri
3\. Blake Ayshford
4\. Chris Lawrence
5\. Beau Ryan
6\. Benji Marshall
7\. Robert Lui
8\. Aaron Woods
9\. Robbie Farah
10\. Keith Galloway
11\. Liam Fulton
12\. Gareth Ellis
13\. Adam Blair

14\. Joel Reddy
15\. Matt Groat
16\. Chris Heighnington
17\. Ben Murdoch Masilla

So no changes for you from the team that did not win again this year? Except for Blair.

Brown to fullback? Please. We need someone with attacking flair. Brown ain't that person.

Ayshford was a lock when he came to the Wests Tigers so not a big change there. Reddy and Lawrence would make a big, fast, formidable centre pairing. Benji at fullback would be interesting to say the least. He is fast, unpredictable and would, in my opinion and a lot of other people that I have spoken to about this move, make a great fullback.

Remember as I said in an earlier post, Lockyer was a great fullback and became a great 5/8\. They said he was to small to play in that position. Slater was a winger before moving to fullback. How did that work out?
He is smaller than Benji.

Do not dismiss this move out of hand, think about it objectively.

With Sheens unrelenting when it comes to the bench, i'd have him in place of BMM or Groat - but only just…
