Anyone know…

I'm no expert and a boil on the groin could be tricky....but it's been 6 weeks already.....

Any news on Cayless would be appreciated....
 
When we signed him i thought why? and i'm still asking the same question. Typical WT recruitment, let the ones with genuine potential go, and by injury prone has beens.
 
he's week to week, but im disapointed, i wasnt expecting him to be a top prop but i was expecting him to fill a role on the bench and make us stronger in that department, he's right down the bottom of the pecking order now
 
I'll be surprised if he sees out his 2 year deal. His body just isn't holding up and I think he has come back too lean, it's certainly impacted on his strength.
 
hope he's not a lemon, but watching some rooster choose daynight game on austar he used to be a beast. He looks like he has slimmed down to much in the games i have seen him, if he putys on a bit more size imo he could be valuable to us come finals time.
 
John Skandalis was our best prop in 2009\. His metres smashed everyone elses into oblivion. He was fit at the end of the year so what does the Fonz do? Shelves Skando and buys a player who is beyond it. I said it the day we bought him it was a bad joke. The Fonz needs a medical assesment.

Nothing against Cayless but he was an ok player in 2003, nothing more.
 
didn't he originally come to the club on a small deal, and recovering from a shoulder re-construction.
this would account for his lean build. maybe he is not confident with his shoulder yet!!
or realises he has alot of catching up to do to get back to first grade standard.
 
I think the decision was Skando's, not Sheens.
Possible to blame the salary cap for being unable to keep up-and-comers??

Easy to say anything with hindsight, though he had done bugger all in ESL since leaving here so no real surprise thats continued I guess.

Just wanted to know if anyone new a bit more about his injury and likely return...
