Was watching the tennis earlier.
One of the women players got interviewed after the game and asked Jelena Dokic for recommendations of places to eat 🤣
For a poster who goes by the name of @Tucker I reckon you would have to be pretty knowledgeable about places to eat also 🍦🍨 😉

Yes it was ....I went to a Catholic boys boarding school as a day student...BUT if you did the right thing you avoided the severe discipline....you never heard of the garbage that is going on now with kids as young as 9.10.11 yrs old wandering the streets at all hours of the night in gangs waiting to rob or harass people...
the hard years were tough, but so were we and we learnt to respect people and their property....CHANGE MY MIND....

I will give you an example...I didnt see eye to eye with a border and he and I clashed one day to the point I told him I would meet him at lunch time at the squash courts to sort things out...I had him just where I needed him after I got a black eye,a bleeding nose ,he was about to cop the big right hook and upper cut when the discipline master got me by the back of the neck and told me to go to his office after I cleaned myself up..
He was good friends with my dad at the time and told me that this was going to hurt him more than me and gave me six of the best with a rubber strap...I had to go to footy training that afternoon and tell my coach that I couldnt do fast ball work because my hands blew up and were black and blue and I couldnt catch the ball...we were to play against St Pats Strathfield the next Saturday and I was the centre and goalkicker,I made it to the game and my hands were still as sore as buggery...
Yep, there were a few thugs [teachers that is) around at that time.
I never got more than two and only on one occasion.
But I still get upset to this day thinking about what a few of the teachers at my school were like in dishing out the cane to other kids for next to nothing.
I've never smacked anyone in the mouth, but if I bumped into the animals I mentioned above, I wouldn't hesitate to do that.
Only problem is they would have all passed away by now.

Didn't anyone watch 100% footy last night, weidler saying how laurie Daley missing out assisting nrl clubs cause of association with betting agency, then Gus says but it's alright for a owner of a betting company to be a owner of the Melbourne Storm ??? I think he said his name was Matt Tipp ???
Another case of 'one rule for the rich being Melb Storm and another totally different rule for the poor'.
And the gap/discrimination is getting wider every day @Garry.

Not only that, but that same owner was allowed to sell shares in his own company to his players. Like, what??

I reckon it's a great thing for any and every employee to own shares of the business they work for @Luke Brooks #1 Fan.

You work diligently having pride in the work you do, the business prospers, and the share prices go up giving the employee extra pocket money.
That's gotta be a positive thing.

I was just a lowly bus driver in Sydney for the last 15 years of my working life, but I wore a tie every day because I took care and pride in my chosen job in getting my passengers to their destination comfortably and safely and was thanked many times by my passengers for doing that.
I could possibly have gone on to be a driving instructor, but my confidence had been shattered by the number of rat bag drivers on the road, so I took early retirement at age 57 and became a self-funded retiree, going on to lose most of my Superannuation in the GFC and now have next to b all just living on the pension.
But...as they say, "that's life".

The problem is its a betting company. It would be fine if he owned a construction company. Its just another example of the hypocrisy of the NRL.

Although he seems to be too nice a guy to get involved in the murky world of the NRL.
And you know the old saying “ nice guys finish last”.

I’m enjoying reading about Aunty someone who has been offended by Barack Obama about the welcome to country rubbish that has crept into every possible event.
She says she is a leader of her people and wants to be treated as an equal.
Please, give me a break from this token gesture as well as everyone jumping on the bandwagon to pay our respects to etc etc past, present.
I am in agreement with Pauline Hansen on this whole Voice thing. Let’s have an open forensic audit of all the funds currently given to the aboriginal people and find out what happens to the millions of dollars.
Then, and only then are we ready to vote on an even greater involvement in the parliament.
Imo..,,, VOTE NO TO THE VOICE , until all the current funding is audited.
