Over the last decade, to make the Top 8, a team needed on average 28 points. To make the Top 4, a team on average needed 34 points.

So, we currently have 6 points in the bank. A win in Round 1 and two byes.

That means today, to make the top 8 we need 11 wins from our remaining 19 games - a win ratio of 57.8%.

To make the top 4, we need 14 wins from our remaining 19 games - a win ratio of 73.7%.

If we lose to the Broncos on Friday, those percentages increase to 61.1% and 77.8% respectively.

The mountain isn't unsurmountable at the moment but it doesn't take an Einstein to realise that with each game dropped, the mountain is going to get harder and harder to climb, with little or no room for error or poor performances.

Season isnt over yet but the mountain is getter steeper. Now we need to win 61.1% to make the 8 and to make the top 4 it is 77.8%.

I know the math looks a little scary but we can definitely get things back on track starting next weekend. This gives me some confidence:

Rd 7 - Penrith
Rd 8 - Parramatta
Rd 9 - Titans
Rd 10 - Bye
Rd 11 - Warriors (Leichhardt)
Rd 12 - Cowbiys (Campbelltown)

There are 10 points (excluding bye) on offer and I reckon we will take them all….

Yep….you are just one of the many delusional one eyed fans. The way we are playing, Round 8 will be the game of the wooden spooners....and by that round, we will be sitting in last place

Hell, we will be last place after this week if Parra wins
