Interesting to read today that Andrew Voss has been dropped by the Footy Show this year, or taken a lesser role.

To be honest I'd rather litsen to him than Vautin. I do like his commentary more than Rabbits who each year is just become more and more a Ch9 stooge. Vossy has an opinion and does his best to get his point across whether you agree or not. Shame they don't have any games yet on Ch7 as i bet they would bite his hand off to get him and Johns back together.

i think its more to do with him being on morning radio and doing commentry, i prefer him to, he may not have played the game but IMO the 2 blokes who have never played the game (warren smith and vossy) are the to best commentators and knowledgable tv personality for rugby league.

na its not 2ky, i cant remember, he might not do it anymore actually but he was doing some talkback radio show last year, he has had cameo apperances on 2ky but i think the last time he was on there was 08, its a bad move by nine if it was there decision because hes the only one who really wants to talk footy

Same here, I thought Voss was pretty good, but the banter went over the top. Thats the problem with the footy show, people will find someone or something funny the first time, and then they overkill it.

Voss is th ONLY thing holding Channel 9 from falling of the cliff.

Gould was good but he talking to much, If Voultin comes back I will be watching the game on Mute.

If being cool is acting like an immature idiot like Vautin then Vossy should be proud to call himself a nerd any day of the week. IMO he was the backbone of the Footy Show last year and will be sorely missed if he's gone. He provided the much needed balance between the boofhead nature of the show and what the show is actually meant to be about … footy.

At least Vossy actually talked about football and wasn't afraid to ask the serious questions.

All Sterlo & Fatty do is suck up to every guest that comes on and want to act like 4 year olds for 90 minutes.

The Footy Show is an variety show these days, they talk a little about football but its more of a platform for foolishness than provocative analysis. Let Vossy do the Sunday Footy Show and for god sakes bring back Boots N All.

So … I thought the Footy Show was heading on the right track last year by talking more footy. Got experts on more often, had the 'master class', addressed the current issues in the game.

Just saw an ad for the show and Wendell Sailor, Andrew Johns and Darryl Brohman featured heavily.

Looks like some things never change. 90mins of boofheads. Oh dear...

Vossy does have a good knowledge of the game but the NRL Footy Show on Thursday nights is pretty casual and light hearted and Vossy went a bit too far at times. It didn't think they would take him off the show though. I thought they would just ask him to tone it down a bit. I think Matty Johns' Footy Show will be a bit like the Thursday night Footy Show. You know what Matty is like. There will be a bit of comedy and that isn't a bad thing unless it goes overboard.
