Whats wrong with us?

I dont understand what is wrong with the Tigers… I look at all the individual players and think that we should be killing it this season... We have some tough games coming up and are now a realistic chance of not and lost like we did... Most teams would have destroyed South Sydney tonight as they had a bunch of players missing and played a very average brand of football... Whats wrong with us?

#1 we have a very disorganised attack - no-one is looking two plays ahead, no-one is calling the shots.
#2 Our forwards charge the ball back into the ruck and get smashed at least threee times a set.
#3 The backs are always cramped for room due to Benji's sideways running so they get turned back on the inside and get smashed or they are bundled over the sideline.
#4 We have no authoritative halfback.
#5 Lui cant tackle
#6 Lawrence is underused
#7 Ayshford has suspect defense
#8 Tuqiri is caught out of position a lot, is slower than most opposites, hasnt got the greatest hands.
#9 Beau has hit rock bottom form
#10 McKinnon is injured
#11 Benji is rocks and diamonds in EVERY MATCH
#12 Goal kicking is very poor
#13 Ellis isnt dominating in attack as much as we hoped
#14 general kicking is only just now starting to improve
#15 usually poor kick chase
#16 Cant defend our goaline
#17 Cant difuse bombs
#18 Bryce and Heighno can be pretty ill disciplined at times giving away a lot of penalties
#19 our ball handling skills seem to have dropped off
#20 enthusiasm seems low
#21 Leadership under stress seems wanting
#22 Galloway doesnt play enough minutes
#23 players are regularly played out of positions
#24 inefficient benches selected
#25 No mongrel, sting in our defense
#26 pig headed coach
#27 seem to take forever to come back from injuries
#28 Moltzen is injured
#29 Tuiaki is injured
#30 Moors is injured
#31 poor tactics

 take your pick…........

ill pick
#28 moltzen is injured

team hasn't been the same since

Hope we have moltzen for the whole season next year

Someone told me at Olympic Park station after the game last night that Moltzen will be back in 2 weeks. I will be very surprised if he is back in 2 weeks but I hope he is ready to go then.

He will have healed, but there is still a bit of a risk of re-injury if he comes back too soon. Hopefully we start to build here on in and we can let him rest till next year.

I think #28 is the big one for this year too, the team seems far more fluid in attack, everyone seems to be on the ball etc, which goes back to issue #1

22-26 have been issues for years. I'm sure we all thought the corner had been turned after Lui got injured at the beginning of the year when Sheens just moved Moltzen back. Then when Moltzen got injured, Sheens brings up another halfback…again, corner turning. Yet he didn't persist with Lazarus, didn't give him a proper go I thought, but the mind boggles when he stuck with Morris for 2 1/2 years.......

Hi Mashies.

I agree with your assessment of WT team in 2010\. I don't understand why we aren't leading the comp.
Problems this year have been too much disruption at half back and therefore no combination with Benji. Very poor goalkicking.

With a 14 point lead we should have put Souths away considering Souths had a lot of stars out.For some reason we seem to rush our attack but no one seems to lead or control and everyone is waiting for someone to do this resulting in confusion and panic, going sideways in attack does not help either. Most of our forwards die with the ball to easily without looking for support,as I've said often.Anyway there is next week but we have a hard run home too, this is one we should have won.All I want todo is see West Tigers win! win! win! like all other Forum people.
