When is Farah or ballin back?

We've gone well the last 2 weeks with a makeshift dummy half and a kid still learning.
Having Farah (and even Ballin) as well should take us to another dimension.
We have dropped intensity (especially in defence) both weeks that Halatau has left the field.
Rotating Farah with either Ballin or Halatau means you have an old head and workhorse defender (and not a tired one) on the field for 80 minutes.
Hopefully that eliminates the way teams have come back at us like the last 2 weeks.
Cherrington's time will come but at the moment we need some experience on the park.

There can't be any doubt that even a maligned Farah remains a superior option than Halatau or a starting Cherrington.

I am not convinced yet whether Cherrington has the rounded-out game to become our primary hooker. He's got sharp feet out of the ruck and generally speaking his distribution is crisp, but he lacks his own tactical element beyond the quick dart at the tryline. He does not employ a kicking game of any note and can be hit/miss in defence. He remains a promising work-in-progress.

we need Farah for that tackling up the centre

Yep, get Robbie back making 50 quality tackles a game that'll cut down the offloads and reduce the number of bodies getting called into the middle. That means less chance of our halves getting caught 1 on 1 with space around them. The situation last night where Moses found himself in a huge gap needing to stop Dylan Walker wouldn't have happened if Manly hadn't been able to force Lovett to be in two places at once. Having Sironen out didn't help. We need Robbie's defensive workrate back to plug up the 20 odd points a game we're currently conceding. Not every opponent will give up 30+.

The media are circling about this one…

A specialist DH over Halatau will be better, as long as the play direct and not sideways.

Once Ballin & Farah are ready, where does that leave Halatau?

dene will fill a spot on the bench , much better than lovett.

Farah will earn it and the team will be better

Farah will be a bonus. He needs to only run off a quick play the ball, tackle well and get out of the way inside the opponents 20.

And how will Ballin and Farah and Cherrington fit in the side? I can see Ballin and Farah interchanging. I guess a Cherry will get his big chance next year.

Farah to start, Cherington to the bench, Ballin to play NSW cup and pop up around origin. I think Halatau will b effective in the sec8nd row or at lock.

9\. Farah
14\. Cherrington

Ballin is due back round 10, gives him a few games in reserves before he steps up during the origin period.

9\. Ballin
14\. Cherrington

What happens after the origin period, well that's upto JT.

Agree

Farah to walk straight back in to the side asap.

Not 100% sure I think I have noticed that the defensive lapses mid game have been at the same time Cherrington was on the field

Not saying it is his fault at all, most of the trys scored against the tigers in the last two weeks were diabolical and could have been avoided mostly.

Again I call for a focus on Defense resolve as a more cohesive team than both the Warriors and Manly will lap us if we are not careful.

9\. Farah
14\. Cherrington

Will be interesting considering a fair few players in the team are worried he will over play his hand and try and control everything.

Also the players are pissed off with Sironen, they are labelling him as being soft I personally think it's a make or break year for Siro Jnr…

- I have a feeling (And I'm not alone) Liddle has superseeded Manaia as Farahs' preferred replacement.
I'm assuming that is the Primary reason for signing Ballin.
Farah will most likely move on this season, With Ballin and Liddle to become the 2 Hookers. Where that Leaves Cherry is beyond me - I'm assuming someone will try scoop him up - IF he kicks on a bit…
I've not seen much (if any) improvement in him since his debut....

This weeks injury report suggests Robbie could be available round 4\. I don't know whether Taylor would pick him straight into first grade.

Why wouldn't he - He picked Halatau there straight up last week?

Do we have evidence of - "the players are pissed off with Sironen, they are labelling him as being soft"

What players are saying this Oxo?

Sorry mate I can't reveal the source but its solid and it's true.Lets just hope Robbie comes back and kills it and feeds Brooks and Moses early ball so they can weave their magic….

The Wests Tigers have received a massive boost with Robbie Farah declaring himself a near certain starter for their Easter Monday clash against the Eels on March 28.

Farah is yet to play an NRL game in 2016 after injuring his right knee in a pre-season trial game against the Sharks at Campbelltown Stadium in February.

There were initial fears Farah had torn his anterior cruciate ligament, which would have seen him sidelined for the entire season, but thankfully for the Tigers, scans revealed he had torn his meniscus instead.

Farah was expected to miss between four to six weeks, but appears ready to make a surprise return less than a month into the season.

"It's really good," the Tigers No.9 told NRL.com at the NRL's fourth annual Harmony Day Festival at Merrylands Park on Friday.

"I've picked up the training this week and had some really good running sessions, so I'll be looking to get back next week against the Parramatta Eels on Easter Monday."

The Tigers have surprised many by starting the season with back-to-back wins against two teams that were expected to challenge for the top four, and could find themselves unbeaten when they face rivals Parramatta in the traditional Easter Monday clash.

The past two holiday fixtures between the sides have been thrillers, with the Tigers winning on both occasions.

"We've played them two years in a row, and I think they've both been blockbusters," Farah said.

"I missed the first one through injury when Brooksy [Luke Brooks] kicked the winning field goal. Last year Patty Richards set up that try for Teddy [James Tedesco].

"There's always a massive crowd. Everyone comes over from the Easter Show so we generally get 40-50,000 there, so it'll be a great one to come back for."

Farah's return will complete a Tigers' spine that has shone in the opening fortnight of the season.

The form of both halves - in particular five-eighth Mitch Moses – has been overshadowed by fullback James Tedesco, who leads the league with five tries from two games.

The Tigers hooker isn't surprised to see his younger teammate performing so well, and believes Tedesco would be ready for State of Origin if selected to play for NSW.

"I thought he was ready a long time ago. Last year was important for him. He's had a few disrupted years with injury, but last year he played every minute of every game for the Tigers and that was a massive achievement for him," Farah said.

"His form was outstanding, and he's picked up from where he left off last year. If he keeps going the way he is then it will be very hard to not pick him."
