When was the last time?

Can anyone remember the last time the tigers sent out the same side two weeks in a row?

It might have happened last year but it seems like it hasn't happened much at all over the last few years.

Im not good with stats but im all for sticking with the same team (Unless there is someone being a HUGE liability)

Its give a team time to gel. Something the NSW Selectors should try practising.

All the best tonight, thats all i have to say

I think we've named the same 17 before this season. Round 5-6 v Melbourne, then St George. I remember thinking, wow, we've named the same side 2 weeks in a row.

Negative. No Benji for Dragons game and Sue/Spence in. Sitaleki played vs Melbourne. Hard to put out the same side with that many injuries and a new coach still finding performers and underperformers.
When all our players are back and we get a few wins we will start naming the same team I believe.

Potter is starting to get to me as a coach. Sitaleki played 20 minutes against Melbourne I thought he was good then nothing.
Ava did OK big guy then nothing. Groat big guy nothing.
Spence a smaller player..very average.. hasn't played any better keeps getting a run.

The intention of my post wasn't actually to criticize Potter for the team changes this year. It just seems like the team has been so unsettled for so long. It's a combination of injuries and several players being in bad form, with no one standing up to make the most of the opportunity when presented with it. Either way it's very detrimental.

A better question might be, "when was the last time the tigers put together a 17 that's close to full strength for a few weeks in a row?"

Irvine - I agree, the Spence situation is a bit strange to me. Granted I haven't seen much of him in lower grades, I think others looked to have done better, but Potter seems to like something about him. I don't think Spence has been dreadful, just maybe not worthy of the level of support he is getting at this point. The fact he gets a start in first grade is probably the most surprising thing to me. Either way, we have bigger problems than whether it's Spence, Groat, Akoula or Ava in the team.
