As no complaint has been lodged as yet can we assume more brown paper bags have been issued?Brown paper bags are not part of the salary cap.

Doesn't matter how much help is available to people…...some people just can't be helped..

In these situations the offenders must want to help themselves first and foremost....

Another idiot who seems to think he's God's gift… regardless of how much he would improve our playing roster, I'm glad he's not with us.

If the NRL was serious, this clown would never play again. He has not lived up to his potential at the Broncos anyway. Has speed but not the brains to use it effectively on a consistent basis.

For mine, any sort of violence towards a female is far worse than any other indiscretion that we see from NRL players. Even poor old Mitch Pearce and his short lived affair with a dog whom I might add, has since admitted that he/she enjoyed the brief dalliance with an NRL star.

James Roberts: entering a very select, multi-club, repeat opportunity, infamous recidivist group.

Arana Taumata
Todd Carney
John Hopoate
Greg Bird
Anthony Watts
John Elias
Russell Packer
Albert Kelly

You'll probably just find out it was some Brisbane Easts player anyway …..

Quite easy to get confused when you get down to Cooparoo

Used to go to Langlands Park for a few live bands in my day ,always had to check if the GIRLS had Adam's Apple's or were just Adam's

Was that before or after you had your teeth knocked down your throat for touching up a random chick Happy?

Its always good to check before telling your mates you got punched out by a chick!

^^^^^^^^ Cat fight….

When will they ever learn...?

Surgery for that one too Happy, so unless you want to go for the grab or are into a lucky dip or changing things up, check for the outward forearm roll.

Ben Barbar is another that comes to mind that you can add to that lot.

Word.

You are 100% right. Someone has a shot of Coke after grand final, suspension. Someone bashes their wife, well lighter suspension. Someone does a bubbler, axed. Someone breaks their girl's eye socket… still playing.

I am seriously over the doublestandard. These guys are Rugby league players. If they have a VB after the game, upgrade the poor mans drink. If they hit their wife, suspend them and/or kick them out. If some F-wit takes a mobile phone and records them talking to a lamppost after a party and hitting on the fire extinguisher, Laugh at him and move ON. Hold people to a standard that the community expect, not a standard of a corporate brand mascot.

Also, I am glad that the Bulldogs took a counselling approach with Ben Barba when he bashed his wife/partner. Like many it totally does my head in because I don't get it. But it resolved the underlying core social problem. Would be good if the NRL took a more proactive and counselling based approach, while making it clear that violence against women is NOT ON.

The NRL always has a very small fine print on any matters involving player transgressions…... (if they bring in the crowds then hit 'em with the ole wet lettuce). Filthy lucre is the only thing the NRL is concerned with, morals are negotiable.

How do the Broncos keep getting away with this crap? 2 witnesses go missing and the club refuses to hand over footage and James Roberts is cleared. He is not innocent, there was just a lack of evidence to take it further.
Like when it was suggested that money had gone missing from the leagues club and found its way into the pockets of broncos players. Gee resigned and suddenly because he was no longer registered with the NRL, could not be forced to attend an interview. That case was dismissed as well.
The sooner there are more Qld clubs in the NRL the better. Then the broncos could be punted for these sort of indiscretions
