Well the roosters costed themselves a grand final by letting Minichello play in the semis, and had a shocker against souths when they were up 12-0 he dropped everything that came to him, sometimes loyalty can cost you.

If Farah was any other player and not on the amount of money he is and not a former captain or origin player he should have been dropped months ago because of form.

but it's clear taylor waited till after origin to do this, he knew Farah was gonna play origin and had to keep him in the team to save all that contravsary out, now that origin is over it is no co-incidence he is sent to reserve grade, and he no doubt has played his last origin too

Ok Wally Lewis wasn't front of mind. But he wasn't dropped to Reserve grade.

What you think the situation has been handled about average do you?

I guess I was making comparison to the Dogs in recent years when they move players on ie. Ennis, Pritchard, Hodkinson, Lafai etc etc. I don't think any wanted to leave but they do and not a peep of bad press, farewell at last home game and thankyou dinners at Leagues club etc.

What is the situation here. Robbie plays out his career with us in Reserve grade and then creeps out the back door?

Wally broke his arm v the Dragons (that team again) and his last game was against the Raiders in the semis and they got flogged with Big Mal running rampant

Depending on who you believe Lewis was brought off the bench to try and push his selection for the 1990 Kangaroos squad

We all know how that ended up , Wally questioned the ARL's ethics and Dr Nathan Gibbs and missed the tour

Lewis was offered a 50 k contract to play the following season and Lewis decided to agree to sign it

When this happened the Broncos removed that contract off the table and said they couldn't offer it due to him being a rep player

To be honest I haven't seen a situation handled as badly as the Broncos handled the Lewis issue

They even backed a "Bring Fatty Vautin back to Brisbane " call in on the radio , almost raised all the money and then because they hadn't followed or understand the then current salary cap rules had to give the money back :brick:

The Broncos were horrendous Steve , the way they handled some of the deals and terminations were diabolical

They left a message with a secretary at Greg Conescu's work to tell him they wouldn't renew his contract …...

If we had a Gene Miles to step in, there'd be absolutely no issue.
Instead, we have Joel Edwards.

In the long term, I absolutely agree with the efforts to move Farah on. This demotion in itself seems folly.
