Where is the Cleanout Line in 2017?

The clean out is so simple. Just go through the stats of each player and whatever players were in teams that lost more games than they won then boot them out. I know that Jason has applied this criteria earlier for amazing results.

Cool a brand new contract list then?

Whatever it takes mate - Jason and the board has and can handle it. As well we only sign on new players who have played in teams that have won more games than they lost - easy as!

If that decision is based on 2016 records then Wests Tigers have already started by trading in Farah.

I think that is his point, Newtown.

TCL Quote
"My op is about when we make the call not so much about who? Early threads on the forum indicated that if we don't make the top 8 JT is out, we didn't and he is still here? (i know that it was just forum guff but this is no different.) "

Geo quote
"Oh..it was a pseudo Sack the Coach Thread …nothing like getting in early...."

"good results early doesn't mean you will finish well and visa versa and hand on heart my intention was not a "sack the coach thread". It's no secret that I'm not JT's biggest fan but I am a Tigers fan and if he gets us the results we crave then he will have earnt our support and I will be his fan. " end of quote.

BUT, in the meantime I'll put my boot (ever so reasonably, or course) into our coach at every opportunity because that's the type of support that helps with cohesion, good morale and stability within my Tigers club!

I don't put the boot into the team. I haven't even put the boot into JT. I'm discussing what almost every supporter of any team discusses. I don't agree with his decisions and he hasn't set the world on fire but that is just what I think. I'm just asking Do we give him and any non performing player the whole year or do we, subject to results tap them on the shoulder earlier than end of year.

As I said before if we have a great 2017, then yee hah and keep them all. :roll

If our comments here are going to impact our teams cohesion and moral then we have bigger problems than me putting the boot into the coach 😕

As the thread title is Where is the Clean out I thought there was a beautiful, simple and elegant manner of performing the clean out. To achieve a winning culture we need players who having a winning culture. If that is good enough for one player it is good enough for all - otherwise we are making a mockery of everything.

Hard decisions need to be made.
We can't keep both halves if we want to retain Woods, Tedesco and Moses.
Brooks is the obvious casualty. He just commands too much for so little and doesn't compliment Moses all that well.
Moses goes a lot better without Brooks there.

I don't see why we can't keep them all. If I was going to let any of them go it'd probably be Woods. I think Woods has improved heaps this year and is a great prop but he is also in my opinion more easily replaced with what we already have within the club.

Well, that's a brave call but I commend you for it. And, I mostly agree. But, despite me ranking Woods at about 9 or 10 as best props in the NRL, I don't see where the ready-made replacement is. Who in the club do you have in mind as a replacement?

I think Felise, Ava, Grant & Sue are all great props. When it comes to making metres and belting it up I don't think any of them are much behind Woods. Woods has been great but when it comes to making the hard yards I think all of those players do a great job.

Aloiai could also easily play in the middle of the field. I think he is better there.

Some great opinions on this topic, however I reckon the biggest cleanout will happen maybe at the end of next year, especially if we have plenty of cash in the bank, for the time being we probably have to make do with what we have and the odd pick up such as Idris….
