Replacements, Idris not much money for year 1, Evans subsidised by the chooks, any genuine winger, Carlin Anderson.

zzzzzzzzzzzzz…bring on April 2017......

but we need to clear out some dead player wood...Id be starting with Curtis Sirronen, Joel Edwards...

We need a good winger, preferably one who can kick goals (Carlin Anderson) and a powerhouse 2nd rower, one who runs great lines...on the coaching team we need someone who can teach the lads defense...I mean teach not talk....

Well said. I'd also add that we should be dropping Rankin permanently to reserves or punting him entirely. Well off the pace.

Time to tap these guys on the shoulder and say you wont be playing first grade next year, so your free to negotiate with other clubs. Dont wait till 2017, do it now.

The clean out is so simple. Just go through the stats of each player and whatever players were in teams that lost more games than they won then boot them out. I know that Jason has applied this criteria earlier for amazing results.

Cool a brand new contract list then?

Whatever it takes mate - Jason and the board has and can handle it. As well we only sign on new players who have played in teams that have won more games than they lost - easy as!

"Moneyball" deciding a team based on stats.

Or in our case it maybe making up the stats to fit your decision.

To have a cleanout of contracted players you have to have another club who wants to take these contracts on or at least a part of the contract, and there lays the problem folks

I am only basing on precedents made this season by our Club - blame them for making up the stats-based selection not me. It cost us big time to conform to this criteria so money is obviously not a turn off. And it should be a lot lot cheaper to get rid of those on much lesser contracts. Win win.

Just whack them in reserve grade until they go - it seems to do the trick, succeeded for the supposedly most unwanted player in NRL,

Hard decisions need to be made.
We can't keep both halves if we want to retain Woods, Tedesco and Moses.
Brooks is the obvious casualty. He just commands too much for so little and doesn't compliment Moses all that well.
Moses goes a lot better without Brooks there.

Wasn't blaming you. You didn't recruit, manage, coach, select the team nor make executive decisions the club did. Just like all of us in our work life we live and die by our decisions so will our club.
I guess the only difference is I don't have a forum discussing every aspect of my job and performance.

I don't see why we can't keep them all. If I was going to let any of them go it'd probably be Woods. I think Woods has improved heaps this year and is a great prop but he is also in my opinion more easily replaced with what we already have within the club.

Yeah he is easily replaced. It's just up to what we value more.
Moses doesn't need a busy creator half partner. Moses needs to rule the halves or he is wasted.

Woods run 160 m/game, played 64 min/game (Bromwich played 59 min/game and run 148 m/game, Scott 126 m/game, 46 min/game)
QED

TCL Quote
"My op is about when we make the call not so much about who? Early threads on the forum indicated that if we don't make the top 8 JT is out, we didn't and he is still here? (i know that it was just forum guff but this is no different.) "

Geo quote
"Oh..it was a pseudo Sack the Coach Thread …nothing like getting in early...."

Quote TCL
"good results early doesn't mean you will finish well and visa versa and hand on heart my intention was not a "sack the coach thread". It's no secret that I'm not JT's biggest fan but I am a Tigers fan and if he gets us the results we crave then he will have earnt our support and I will be his fan. " end of quote.

BUT, in the meantime I'll put my boot (ever so reasonably, or course) into our coach at every opportunity because that's the type of support that helps with cohesion, good morale and stability within my Tigers club!

Well, that's a brave call but I commend you for it. And, I mostly agree. But, despite me ranking Woods at about 9 or 10 as best props in the NRL, I don't see where the ready-made replacement is. Who in the club do you have in mind as a replacement?
