Where we WILL finish....

1\. Brisbane
2\. St George
3\. Tigers
4\. Roosters
5\. Gold Coast
6\. Warriors
7\. Melbourne
8\. Manly

Unlucky to miss out - Parra, Bulldogs, Souths

I see 2011 being a really competitive year….closer than this season. There will not be a lot of points between 1 and 10.

Injuries and refereeing decisions will again make or break contenders.

Mine would be looking like this:

1\. Roosters (Should go better than 6th, they also showed they can beat almost any team on their day in the finals)

2\. Dragons (Losing a couple of good fowards, can't see them claiming the JJ Giltinan shield 3 years in a row)

3\. Brisbane (Will have a world class centre combination in Inglis and Hodges, also the resigning of big Ben Hannant will further bolster their pack. Assuming Lockyer makes it through the full season injury free, top 4 seems likely)

4.Tigers (Should retain our position in the 4, with Moltzen and Tuiaki back, finals would seem a 'given')

5\. Raiders (Their foward pack next year is looking promising, should build on this year)

6\. Eels (Very disappointing year this year, I think they'll redeem themselves)

7\. Bulldogs (Made some great recruits for the 2011 season, Hodkinson will come of age in his second year of FG also the signing of Eastwood will cover for the loss of Hannant and will stimulate their foward pack)

8\. Melbourne (Keeping 3 of the 'Fab Four' was a good step foward for Melbourne in the aftermath of their salary cap rorting, should build a team around Cronk, Slater and Smith)

9\. Warriors (I'm just not sure how well these guys will go next year, defence stills requires alot of work, recruited two players one of whom is carrying too much kilos (Mateo) another, who's very hot and cold (Inu)

10\. Titans (Will be spewing at the fact they didn't make the GF, I'm still of the opinion this is an ordinary team, alot of has beens in the fowards)

11\. Penrith (Their defence is awful, some of the tries we scored against them were as a result of soft defence, showed in the finals they aren't much chop)

12.Knights (Costigan will help, but I can't see them going much further than this)

13\. Sea Eagles (Had a poor year this year, I can see them falling down the ladder)

14\. Souths (Thought they had a chance of making the eight this year, they proved me wrong, I can't see them going anywhere near the eight)

15\. Cowboys (Never has been any discipline up there in the tropics, defence has always been a lingering doubt about them, will finish low)

16\. Sharks (pathetic team, no money, no supporters, no potential, should relocate.)

**1\. Tigers** - getting Moltzen and Tuiaki back are like two new recruits considering the game time they played this year
**2\. Dragons** - losing Jeremy Smith and Neville Costigan who were close to their two best forwards in the finals
**3\. Roosters** - will be stronger after their efforts this year
**4\. Warriors** - Inu and Mateo will be welcome additions to the team. Have a strong U20s side and many of their first graders this year came from their NYC team of previous years
**5\. Broncos** - recruited well with Inglis and Hannant. Some questions are rising over Henjak and this could be an uneccesary distraction
**6\. Titans** - ageing forward pack, more prone to injuries, questionable depth
**7\. Bulldogs** - recruited well, young inexperienced halves and fullback will take time to gel
**8\. Panthers** - think they fluked it a bit this year, evident in their choking once they got to the finals
**9\. Storm** - lost a lot of players but still have a strong 1,7,9
**10\. Manly** - can't see them improving on this year
**11\. Knights** - picked up a few handy buys but still need to find a consistent 1,6,7,9
**12\. Cowboys** - again, few handy signings but none that will set the world on fire, can't see them doing much better than this year
**13\. Sharks** - losing a few players, picking up a few. Will have an awesome back row with Smith, Gallen and Tupou but no real talent in the halves to steer them round
**14\. Raiders** - struggle without Campese
**15\. Souths** - not sure of Sutton's return date but will struggle to find consistency and back to back wins
**16\. Eels** - an absolute shambles. Losing Inu, Mateo and Cayless will hurt them. Untested coach. Word of more problems at the board level. They'll concentrate on everything except the footy field

1\. Tigers- I am really excited about hwo good we will be with TNT and Moltz back.
2\. Broncos- I'm a big Ben Hannant fan, plus Inglis will help.
3\. Knights- I love there recruitment.
4\. Roosters- Will only get better.
5\. Dragons- Losing good players still will be solid.
6\. Dogs- Good Recruitment, young halves combo but.
7\. Storm- Will be hungry
8\. Titans- Rogers will be a loss but they are still a very good team.
9\. Warriors- Just average really.
10\. Raiders- solid, but no campese will hurt.
11\. Sharkies- They will improve not much
12.Manly- They will be worse than this year
13\. Cowboys- Few signings, there still awful
14\. Panthers-I have no idea how they came second, I just think they will struggle.
15\. Rabbits - Solid forwards but they will struggle
16\. Eels- No coach and Carl Webb nuff said.

1.Tigers- great young forwards coming off the bench, Moltzen back.
2.Brisbane- massive signings once again.. so many stars.
3.Knights- played some great games this year, I think there ready to step up.
4.Warriors- Mateo will suit their team well, great juniors from NYC and of coarse the BEAST.
5.Dragons- Will still be solid but lack what it takes to win back to back premierships.
6.Titans- Prince, Bird, Preston, Friend.
7.Storm- I dont think you can just not try to hard for a season, then set the world on fire straight away.
8.Bulldogs- I think they will be very inconsistent, Hannant and Kimmorley leaving will hurt.

9.Roosters- Both halves having to play rep footy will hurt, one key injury and I dont think theyl be the same.
10.Rabbits- Great forwards, terrible backs, erratic halves.
11.Manly- Loosing Hodkinson and Perry, on the decline IMO.
12.Penrith-They will really miss Pritchard, shouldve let W.Graham go either.
13.Cronulla- Tim Smith is average, John Morris is average.
14.Canberra- great young players, wouldve backed them if not for loosing Campese for an extended period.
15.Eels- they will struggle with terrible 6,7,9\. Shouldnt has sacked D.Anderson.
16.Cows- IF some rumours are true.. IF NOT they are smokies for the 8.

I say Sharks because I honestly think Tim Smith is a star. The kid is just full of potential, was the driving force between Parra getting to that minor premiership in 2005\. He only came in mid-season, so an off-season with the full playing roster, under a new coach, creating a combination with Wade Graham, I think the Sharks will surprise EVERYONE and do well.

Mate of mine was a guest of a former player at the Wests Tigers Awards Thing on Friday (He is a Dragon) and he said that the amount of confidence built on an "Air of unfinished Business" flowing through the place was very high.

From Coach down and through to former players were really hanging for next year and the possibilities built on 2010.

My mate couldn't speak highly enough of the organisation and singled out Banji for special praise in light of his efforts and bond with young Lleyton Giles.

The finished the day back at Tiger Tiger…

The only negative is that he had a spare ticket and my phone was dead...

Roosters overachieved this year. They will be the 2011 version of this years Bulldogs

1 - I foresee the Drags staying at their consistent best playing no frills, consistent footy. Maybe even a slight improvement as the monkey is off their backs.
2 - Tigers to loose a few games during the year but really be up there. (Origin and Injury are our enemies in 2011)
3 - Brisbane are my dark horses of the comp if they can learn to win without Old man Lockyer
4 - NZ are building nicely - The Parra 2 and massive juniors will see this club up there over the next few seasons

–--------------SPARTAN-117 Top 4 ----------------
1\. St.George Illawarra
2.Tigers
3\. Brisbane
4\. NZ
----------------IN THE MIX ----------------
5\. Penrith
6\. Gold Coast
7\. Souths
8\. Easts
9\. Canterbury
10\. Melbourne
------------------NO CHANCE---------------------
11\. Manly
12\. Parramatta
13\. Newcastle
14\. Canberra
15\. Cronulla
16\. North Queensland

Summary -
Improver's in 2011 will be; Warriors, Souths, and to lesser extent - Dogs (Pains me to write it)

Parra (Halves), Canberra (Campo), Gold Coast (Too old and Too young at the same time), Manly (Halves) deteriorating in 2011

i agree with smeg

Top 4 Specials:
- St George (won't be as dominant)
- Wests Tigers (only get better)
- Warriors (great signings!)
- Melbourne (will be hungry)

Should make the 8 somewhere:
- Canberra (alot depend on when Campo gets back, but otherwise they will have a killer squad)
- Roosters (struggled to make 6th this year, will end up around the bottom of the 8)
- Bulldogs (I can see a lot of improvement in them)
- Gold Coast (will struggle as key players get older. Prince makes a lot of their players look better than they are)
- Souths (hit or miss)
- Brisbane (ditto, but are improving)

Fringe:
- Parramatta (hahahahahaha)
- Penrith (cracks are already showing)
- Manly (will have a lot of trouble in the halves)
- Sharks (will improve)

Race for the Spoon:
- Cowboys (sorry)
- Newcastle (going better than they should)

1\. Broncos - Inglis n hannant, along with the off-season sacking of henjack, will ensure they return to the top
2\. Dragons - will still be consistent but will lack the firepower to win any of the big ones
3\. Roosters - will improve on this yr as they wont waste half a season with carney at fullback
4\. Storm - cronk, slater n smith will ensure the get a home semi
5\. Warriors - mateo will suit the warriors, plus they have some good unders 20s coming through
6\. Tigers - will find it harder than last yr as teams will be out to get us
7\. Eels - new coach will train mortimer to actually ball play, rather than just support
8\. Titans - on the slide due to an old forward pack and the loss of the rat rogers
9\. Manly - another new halves pairing will struggle to lead the team around the park
10\. Dogs - will take time for the new combos to work
11\. Raiders - will struggle without camp-sleazy
12\. Panthers - dont know how they finished 2nd. one of the great mysteries of life
13\. Souths - halves arent good enough to get them to the 8
14\. Knights - Will have much the same yr as this yr
15\. Cowboys - need brian smith to make some hard decisions and do an even bigger cleanout
16\. Sharks - could be the last yr we see the sharks based at cronulla-sutherland

Anything less than a top four finish and a GF berth will be a disappointment after this season. I really, really hope they don't go backwards like the Eels did.

Ok after consulting with my mate at the NRL and the guy at the tab 2011 looks to shape like this…

Wests Tigers
Dragons
Penrith
Dogs
Manly
Roosters
Sharkies
Souff's

An all Sydney top 8...what are the odds... 😱pen_mouth:
