Where's bigdamo?

Well enjoy those posts before they get deleted…

I'd just make a few points on all this:

1 - Attending lower grade games doesn't make you any more or less of a supporter of the WT. Some people, especially of the married variety, barely have time for the NRL stuff.
2 - I agree with CB's comments above. Unless you are in favour of some drastic course of event (Sack Sheens, Sack Warren McDonnell, Sack Stephen Humpreys, Sack Donald Kuah etc) you've got your head in the sand/happy to accept mediocrity etc.
3 - BigDamo does talk a lot of crap and does a nice line in winding people up (some unkind people might call it trolling). Personally I take the view he's in the comedy game and treat a lot of his posts in that light. He does however provide a lot of fantastic info on juniors and lower grades and I'm grateful for that.
4 - The way people conduct themselves isn't a guage on their level of support - it's a guage on how they conduct themselves on this forum...

For those who have forgotten, personal attacks and threatening is not tolerated on this forum, as per the rules:

1\. Language must be of an acceptable standard that is suitable for the diverse community that views this website. Excessive, extreme and inappropriate swearing will not be tolerated.

5\. Comments, statements or actions that may be in breach of any Australian law will result in the offending user being banned and all information in relation to the matter passed onto the relevant Australian authorities.
6\. Comments in regards to non-users of this website (eg. Players, club staff, public figures, etc.) must comply with every other rule stated in these Rules.
7\. Hijacking threads will result in the offending user being warned.
8\. “Foreign” users of this website (eg. Fans of other football clubs) must not insinuate any arguments or cause nuisance to the general running of this website. Any attempt to do so will result in the offender’s account being restricted.
9\. Spamming or Trolling will not be tolerated. Moderators and administrators will attempt to address, advise and council any potential or offending spammers/trolls however they reserve the right to restrict or deny access to users who continue to spam or troll.
10\. Spoilers of any current sporting games must not be posted unless other users of the site are adequately warned of any potential spoiler.
i. Posts in regards to any Wests Tigers game can only be posted in the “LIVE GAME” thread during the time at which the Wests Tigers are playing and until the game had ceased; and
ii. Offending users will be warned.
11\. Any breach of the above stated conditions and rules will result in the suspension of the offender’s account, IP address and email address. All efforts will be made by the administrators of this website to block access for the offending use.
12\. The posting of the exact details of Media-Only events organised by the club is prohibited.
13\. The posting of personal details of players, staff or other individuals is strictly prohibited without the expressed consent of the individual.
14\. Administrators and Moderators reserve the right to enforce and amend these rules at any time without notice.

I see it now. Thanks..when we lost a few games he said he would be the first person on here when/if we ever came good. I dont doubt he is a real supporter. Just dont like kicking the team when they're down. Particularly so early in the season.
 
Damos OK all

At least he will stand back and laugh at himself from time to time He doesn't seem to mind if you take a friendly pot shot at him and most of all he loves the Tigers

Sounds like a good bloke to me
 
I think Damo is playing a character…dont think he believes half the stuff he says, i think he does it to rile up the one eyed supporters amongst us

A real supporter gets frustrated with the team when they lose, a real supporter continues to back their team no matter how bad the situation is!
Bigdamo personally attacks players and coaching staff with character assassinations, that is not a real supporter! I too support Bret and lower grades and would never personally attack the great players and coaches I support!
He is way too negative on the team to be a true supporter, so I for one do not miss how negative he is gnr

What frustrates me about Damo, Golden etc.. is that you only hear off them when we are playing poorly. I have no doubt they love the Tiges as much as I do, however rarely see them join in on discussions when we are stringing wins together.

We are currently in our 7th week since a loss. I doubt Damo has been on here for at least a month (NRL sections).
Golden has certainly improved, he was very philosophical about our poor early season form.

I enjoy both these guys views, just wish we heard them during the best of times as well as the worst…..
 
Sometimes we see things we don't like, we don't comment we just walk on by.

Sometimes things are good from far,
but far from good.

Big Damo just says what WE are thinking.

But don't forget we are one.

maybe they only feel compelled to post when they are pissed off at a poor performance, and want to rant to ease frustrations, when we play well they are probably just enjoying the win.

As I said, I reckon Damo is just playing a character to wind others up
