Who are we signing?

FPN isn't exactly worth it. He is only just marginally better than Sue, but Sue has so much more improvement in him while FPN doesn't. He can have great games buy isn't consistent.

If it's to replace Galloway then it's OK I guess

Hate to sound like Milky, but

8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Blair
11\. Thompson
12\. Sue
13\. FPN

14\. Galloway
15\. Taupau
16\. Sironen
17\. Ava

Pretty good looking pack

The return of Kane Evans? Balmain junior, played under JT…? Though not exactly an experienced topline player, but a top prospect with some nrl experience..?

FPN isn't exactly better than what we have. He's been toiling for years and probably fits into the Roosters system well but will struggle to have the same impact at other clubs.

Lawrence, Blair and Moltzen have the backloaded deals. Mayer made a point not to engage with those deals, hence the stand-off with Teddy. We could have easily heavily back loaded his contact but we didn't and still got him.

Gavet and Austin were both on NSW Cup contracts. Gavet had no NRL experience at all, and Austin was a nsw cup player with a hint of potential. Hence why our 2nd tier cap filled up so quickly.

I also think Kane Evans resigned with the Chooks last year but maybe they think his money could be used elsewhere. He would be a good pickup, young and hard, just what we need

Since this is the wild speculation thread …

How about JWH .

Off contract at end of 2015 & surprisingly only 25yo .

At this stage, i'm hoping we don't sign anyone for next yr. Our squad is good enough next yr, save whatever coin you can for 2016.

Except I'm pretty sure the salary cap doesn't work like that…Don't think you can carry over what you didn't spend in 2015 to 2016...It's a static amount each year...

For next yr, not likely, cos how many quality players are still available in mid October? Could be clearing the decks for a massive assault for 2016 though.

Exactly , so why let go of the one of the few blokes we know who will put in week in week out and was creating chances in attack ??

Moses has a lot to live up to now , we have no back up policy to fall back on

uuummmm…Moltzen.....seen him fall on his back a few times.

maybe KANE EVANS, does not get a lot of game time.

Kane Evans
Date of Birth: 09-01-1992
Height: 192
Weight: 110
Position: Prop
Rep. Honours: Fiji - 5 Tests (2013), NSW Under 20s (2012)
Junior Clubs: Leichhardt Wanderers

The towering forward impressed in the NSW Cup in 2013, named in the NSW Cup Team of the Year with the Roosters feeder club Newtown Jets and was rewarded for his efforts with selection in the Fijian World Cup squad. He will be pressing for NRL selection in 2014.

Unless you front load their contracts like roosters did with Maloney.

FPN has the work rate of a first year apprentice. Has all the tools he needs, but no idea how to use them. If people thought Blair was ordinary in his first few seasons wait til you see FPN. He's made a name for himself because of the forwards he's played with, who could always get a roll on. You could play my grandmother in the Roosters forwards and she'd look like SBW. Dead set bludger of a player.

Rorters paid Maloney out of a surplus the had in 2012 wheb they contracted him wit 2 years to run on his Warriors contract…..That loophole has since been closed...besides how many top line players will accept less for each year off their contracts....?

Pretty sure kane evans and fpn resigned with roosters recently. Not that that seems to mean much…
