Can't say it's certainly happening but based on appearances only, it looks as though Benji is already taken on most of the coaching and Sheens is running cover for him with media appearances. If this is the case and Benji is just using Sheens as a sounding board he probably has more time to be a Director of Football than we think.

What's Fulton's position actually meant to be?

Yeah I suspect Benji is the Head Coach more than Sheens is.
Doesn’t bode well does it? We’ve had a shithouse year with a reasonable team compared to many of the past years.

As CEO, Pascoe has direct reports from his senior leadership team on the business and development side of things, this would include the CFO, the Head of Corporate Partnerships, the Media and Communications Manager, the Consumer Business Manager, the Head of Fan Engagement, the Community Manager, the Game Development Manager, the Pathways Manager and of course…the Director of Football.

The Director of Football is an extremely important position which outlines the strategies of the coaches from NRL, NSW Cup, Flegg, NRLW as well as leads the whole footy operations from assistant coaches and football managers, to club doctor and physio staff through to analysts and nutritionists…and everyone in between. Tim Sheens is still listed as this person. As he is supposedly doing this job, and head coach, and training Benji, it is very evident he is being spread to thin.
WTF is going on?

Surely Sheens is not doing all that.

Having 9 positions reporting directly could have some people calling empire building. Well most people except one. 😁

Remember seeing Sheens in an Interview at the time saying he'd been doing both jobs for 50 years and would do it on his ear...
Not the exact words, But the general gist of what he said and the way he said it...
He almost laughed off the question...

How do you reckon he is going?
He is looking very stressed and very old lately to me.
If he is doing both jobs, he has to step away from one of them.

Do they need to be aligned by an area or a logo ? And yes, I know I’ve sacrificed Magpies and Steelers in my list.
I’m an oldie and hear what you say but am trying to think a little broader for the future of the game.

Sounds like a good plan to me. The era of us being aligned by certain areas is dead, imo.
I grew up in the inner suburbs with a whole lot of mates who now live all over Sydney.
Do they still relate to the Wests Tigers or are they bigger than that and are the Sydney Tigers( or Sydney Magpies) if it makes you feel better.

My deepest apologies to our Magpie brothers. You guys are quick though. You can make them the Sydney Magpies but from a marketing oersoective I think the Tiger more saleable than the Magpie.

Nah, both clubs have given up a lot to have continued representation in the NRL, it's important that the name that was agreed upon is kept. We are the Wests Tigers. It's important some tradition is kept.

We need blokes at the top who can at least dress right and command respect. I have no doubt the players are giggling when they see pascoes hair or a fedora.

It may seem superficial, but we need leaders to show they at least respect their own image for people to take them seriously.

I agree Hal that the world is changing rapidly. Thats my point. I'm sick of things being changed 🙂
