Who do we offload?

Okay, from today's drama I have decided to take it expecting the worst, so in saying that I think we should be prepared for the worst case scenario

A few players I think we might have to offload include, fonua, nofo, or Taylor
Also if worst comes to worst, benji and farah, could offer to cut their contract and retire "early".

This is purely based off my opinion

Why do we need to offload anyone? I'm not sure how much we had left in the cap, but I imagine it's more then the fine imposed. With one spot to fill, it will be a cheap option like Watson Heleta to make up our 30 man squad.

Not sure tbh..
We have 28 under contract as musgrove isn't registered yet.

How much cap did we have left before todays events?

We were linked to Walker and Jennings, so I can’t see us being too far over. Plus Musgrove could ease pressure if he’s convicted. If not, I’d tap Marshall or Farah on the shoulder. Who knows though, we might not have to let anyone go.

Yeah I don't think we will have offload anyone, I just think that we have to be prepared for the worst possible scenario

Farah - and also tell him he can shove his ambassador role as he walks out the door.

Harsh but fair. If the NRL are including all of this in Farahs contract, then by extension, Farah leaving should solve the problem.

We are under the cap by more than the penalty. NRL intentionally loaded it on at Farahs contract value in 2019 to ensure we didn’t sign anyone in light of this. By rights Farahs ambassador role should be loaded on 150k p.a. For 4 years. It’s a stitch up.

Leadership at NRL is incompetent. The game will end in 10 years it’s amateurish.

Please explain to me why Sharks clearly do something wrong and have been in trouble for a few years now get a 800k fine but…. Tigers make an arrangement with a player after his playing career and we get fined 750k PLUS 690K off our salary cap this year PLUS lose our CEO... This does not makes sense to me at all..
Also if robbie keeps the job for lets say 10 years do we have to have him in our CAP for this period? Do Roosters have Mini in their cap? Of course they dont?/?
I just don't understand how this is in the Salary cap for a person not even playing and retired... SOmeone help explain this to me

This is making my blood boil....

We're stuck with him and the two knuckleheads that brought him back are elsewhere. Pascoe screwed our cap on a couple of fronts.

It’s egos they don’t like it wasn’t signed off at NRL level. Weak people overact to look strong.
Pascoe made a mistake but the punishment is way over the top. In no way do the Tigers gain an on field advantage from this. Farah is good for the sponsors which is why this should only be a suspended financial penalty.

Pascoe reputation has been unfairly devestated by this. Someone better hope his closet is not open would make Pascoe look like an angel.

+100 to that.

I think though we may see him regain some impact. Although if McQueen is going to perform under anyone, it will be McGuire. Meh we should still cut our losses.

The way I see it is the NRL are biased incompetent idiots, and I hope Go with Brydens takes them to court and sues them for defamation and seeks compensation for damage to our brand.

There really is no reasonable explanation for the major differences in the fines dished out to us and the Sharks, except for blatant favouritism. That said, they have lost their coach, which is arguably worse than losing your CEO, as far as onfield performances go anyway.
