x 2 .. i think we should keep one of the most respected and apparently ' most wanted ' coaches in league at the tigers. you dont change for change sake and after we get over the crippling injury woes the tigers will bounce back big time … i am the eternal optimist though.

Talent is in the squad. We need someone to keep the squad focused and harmonious. An experienced coach would do us well. Someone like Folkes would be great.

In saying that, I like Matt Elliott as a coach. Can't believe his contract won't be renewed at Penrith. They came 2nd last year and lost their 4 most important players too injury and fell out of the semis. They lost Pritchard and Wade Graham. Started the season poorly and have injuries to key players and they get rid of him. Has the support of the players. Morons.

Sheens had come off a horrible stint at the Cowboys, and fair enough we were very very desperate but he gave us a premiership in 2 seasons. Kind of proves that the previous record of the coach means nothing, a good match is all you need.

We are an attacking team. Folkes was noted as coaching a defensive Bulldogs side. It doesn't match. We need someone who likes to attack.

I don't know many coaches, but I'm thinking Rick Stone wouldn't be terrible. Gould won't coach us, don't be silly. If Sheens leaves, it'd most likely be Gentle anyway.

In all seriousness though, I'm not worried, I dont think WT would have much trouble attracting a good coach.. I wouldn't mind seeing Folkes/Gentle/Jones get a run.

I'd like to see Phil Gould at the Tigers, but I agree that it will never happen. He is much more likely to sit on his reputation and record and go on pontificating as a commentator - it's more lucrative and much MUCH easier on the nerves.

I think if we keep the genius we can win another comp. If we get someone else I am skeptical of Folkes. He was the Dogs coach and they were a rabble. I am not so sure he is a good fitness coach but I think he can probably do less damage there. He might be okay but I fail to see how he gets the love on here.

Ricky Stuart should not even be considered. A dud coach who presents poorly to the media.

Gould would be fantastic but I doubt it will happen.

I'd prefer to give someone like Gentle a chance.
