Who else is excited ?

Just names on a piece of paper at the moment, getting them to play to their potential and play their part in the TEAM is the hard part.
With Benji running the show on the field we will never be a solid consistent team no matter what names are alongside his on the team sheet.

$3mill a year worth of talented -
Blair - one of the worlds best props
Ellis - worlds best second rower
Farah - 2nd best hooker in the game
Marshall - best player in the world
Tuquri - duel international
Lawrence - best up and coming centre in the game

Imagine all of them shirtless. Damn right I'm excited…

Careful mate, or you might be the one shirtless come this time next year

Next year is next year, how about we finish this year off on a high. OK so we have had three weeks of turmoil, there has been dummy spitting on the field, off the field by management and even supporters, what I want to know is all this behind us now that the signings have been confirmed? If so and we see a big change on the field starting this weekend then I will be excited for next year, but being a paid member for this year I would like to see the team fulfill my expectations for a succesful 2011

I quite liked the look of Tim Samona who played a few games not so long ago. We should be focusing on our juniors more heavily than signing as many big named players as possible.

I was excited until i remembered Sheens will still be here whose career is he going destroy next season with his mad team selections

not really no, I was excited the beginning of this year and so far, that really hasn't turned out all that well…...maybe that might change by the end of the year though

Yes, I believe the recent signings plus the supposed move to sign and bring up the promising six (I think that was Humpty's number) players from the NYC makes our future look much more promising.
Then, Tiger Jim brings up the coach for next year and a little gloom sneeks into the picture. I hope the team selections and the team preparation are much improved next year.

I can also see some parting shots coming our way once this season is over. Some players will want to have their two cents worth on proceedings I feel

Plus a smorgasboard of talented, highly seeked NYC players ready to make the step up…

....2012 premiership year! THE BANDWAGON WILL BE BACK !! GET ONNNNNNNNNNN !! :righton:

And the FONZ !

Yep - to back up the playing talent we have one of the best coaches in the game. A nuffy like Folkes wouldn't be able to deliver with that squad but Sheensy the genius will have them playing like a well drilled highly performing team.

To be a downer we still have some issues:-

1\. Farah's form.
2\. Getting the 7 right.
3\. Getting the 1 right.

i was the most excited coming into a year i have been this year, I thought we had the side to go all the way. Next year I think Blair will be a great buy. Bell & Reddy are also good buys. I think the success of next year is dependant on the development of our kids, Miller, Woods, Groat, Bergovich, Koribete , Simona, BMM and the return of Dwyer, if a number of them kick on like we think they will and Dwyer comes back well, we will be very strong contenders, if they dont step up the year after should be a good un, with all those kids plus Tedessco, Noafluma, Sironen and Lovett coming into the mix.

The future is bright, just depends how far in the future we are talking.

Every year Iam excited of good things that lay ahead, but Iam afraid most years they come up empty. Next year I will be just as excited and my expectations will be high, will they deliver?? not so sure, so many factors come into play, things like injuries, bad calls, just plain bad luck and of course their are all the egos that need keeping in contol.

As good as a playing roster we have for next year I just cant see them playing that consistent style of football week in and week out that you need to be a gun side, but thats probably a legacy of seeing so many of our sides under achieve for so long. Anyway bring it on because 2011 is gone
