Who here actually supports Western Suburbs in the KOE NSW Cup?

Here are the List of Clubs that are Token as they dont have NRL representation.

Missing Brands appear to be Wests Tigers, Manly, Cronulla and someone else.

My Pref is Tigers as the next generation will be more engaged especially as we improve, but I can live with magpies for now.
Plenty will claim it
‘doesn’t matter the reserve grade
isn’t named the same’

But I remember times when there was
No Raiders, No Warriors, No Bulldogs,
No Panthers, No Dragons, No Knights,
No Manly, No Eels, No Roosters, No Rabbitohs in reserve grade.

Believe I read all the QLD sides are heading toward NRL branded reserve grade teams, and the Storm already have it for 20’s - you’d think reserve grade will follow.

Seems it makes sense to everyone on the planet outside a few fans of an old foundation club, though I’ve heard Richo mention aligning the branding through the grades at some point - trying that will probably cost him his job knowing our mob.

The independent sessions a NSW Cup team will complete are predominantly 30-min Captains runs the day/night before the game. A few edge shots and unopposed plays.

The preparation for the NSW Cup team (made up predominantly of full-time contracted players) is with the full-time playing and coaching staff. McCarthy's influence is with the part-timers.
Yeah so any player on a Wests Tigers fulltime, development or T&T (full season) contract will only train with the Wests Tigers squad. Whereas the NSW Cup contracted players I understand still train Tues & Thurs nights.

You would hope McCarthy does come in for some WT sessions during the week under his part-time contract to learn & be involved in the key plays & structures directed by Benji, and then filter this into his sessions with the part-timers.

There's always been very high levels of integration between NSW cup and fringe first graders. Maybe not so much in the off season but all players named in cup train together a few times a week in the lead up to a match. NRL squad members still train full time with the NRL squad, these cup sessions are in the evening.

We can only hope the new coach is a hidden gem that someone saw something in. On paper it's a cost cutting exercise, hiring someone with no experience or track record. He's the worst coach in the comp by a long way, until he proves that he isn't
