Who is your favourite player, and why?

I try not to have a favourite player because whenever I do, they leave (Skando, Hodgo, Fulton, Fifita), or get injured (Fulton, Lawrence, Lote, Tuiaki …). I do like Chris Lawrence though. I think he's going to do great things.
 
Fave player of all time is Ben Elias. At this point in the Tiges it's a toss up between Lote and Lawrence

Tuiaki, of the current players it has to be Benji there are a few players just as skilled, but nobody is more exciting to watch, unpredictable, creative and decpitive acceleration, just awesome when he is "on"
 
A difficult choice. I admire Ellis and Lawrence for their physicality, skill and professionalism. Actually, I think Fifita, with his fending, bumping runs and athleticism (for a prop), is really fun to watch. However, in the end, I admire skill and Benji is, arguably, the most talented player to lace on a boot. No one can match him for pure flair but, unfortunately, noone can match his volatility either….......
 
Kieran Foran at the moment
Because he reads the game well has good vision and awareness, a good kicking game, can defend better than a backrower, takes the ball to the line, takes on the line, he's a tenacious competitor.
Pretty much does everything Benji can't do or doesn't do. Oh but Benji throws a flick pass and a no look pass twice a year which makes him a heaps better player.
 
The question, Tiger, was who is our favourite player, not who is the best player. Also, I must have misunderstood the question. I thought we had to choose our favourite current Tiger.

I do agree though, that Foran has devloped into an fantastic all round player.
 
Chris Lawrence 1, Gareth Ellis 2 , our whole team could learn a lot from these ,all class….
 
Benji

Most talented player i have ever seen, when on song can just rip teams apart.
Without him we don't even get close in 2005.

Read the question again, i know it's in the Wests Tigers thread but it says. Who is your favourite player, and why?
Mine is Foran at the Moment, Tigers wise it's hard not to like Lawrence. Loved Tuiaki
 
Foran plays for Manly so he is disqualfied for being best at anything fit for print!

Lawrence. Great hole runner with the strength to back it up and speed to boot. Benji would be number 1 but he always seems to be holding back. Lawrence is Mr. 100%

For the record, Farah has won as many games for us as Benji has this year. Love 'em all!
 
Noticed a few have put their all time favourite player, mine is Junior. What a player he was, it is funny how things work out, as a kid he was one of a number of great players we had, but one night as a kid i went to "it's a knockout" and Wayne pearce was the referee, and he saw me as a kid with my tigers scarf and came up to me and chatted to me for about 10 minutes, from that time on he was my god. So in 2005 on grand final night who did i see on GF night, none other than my hero, it was like I was 8 years old again :slight_smile:

Im glad he is a champion bloke cause there is nothing worse than meeting someone you admire from afar and find out they are wanker.
