I'd pick Hastings but you can't pick a guy in his first season at the club. They have to prove themselves at our club to get that spot.

I'm not sure Brooks retains his spot throughout the year as well so I don't see him as an option.

If it is another abysmal year I'm hoping they do the Mbye and move him on with a year left on his deal.

I think the fact he was player of the years shows just how out of touch his haters are with the clubs perception of him. What your expectations of him next year and what you see is clearly different to what the decision makers see.

Maybe. If he has a dud year next year we'll find out.

I think the points system worked in his favor last year as it did when he won the Dally M. One of Brooks upsides is that he doesn't get injured. He had 16 try assists and 10 line break assists. His tackle efficiency was 85.7%. There weren't too many top performers for us this year. I'm not reading anything into the idea the decision makers at the Tigers are somehow pro Brooks.

I still reckon his career is on the line and he could easily be pushed out next season. I'm starting to feel more confident on the Hastings signing that I've been in the past.

However, most likely it will not be Brooks and he will be leading the player of the year votes again.
