More likely it will be Hastings or Peachy as Madge seems to like to find a leader that is brand new and has no connection to the club as part of the culture building

It hurts me to think Tamou may be in the side again come 2022...

On form he'd struggle to be in top 17, maybe could play role off bench

On leadership, hasn't proved to be the leader we are looking for. doesn't deserve to be in team, solely due to the fact we lack a leader.

Could play a constructive role mentoring the KOE cup team

Can you imagine the media frenzy when a player last sighted in the NRL getting sacked for punching on with his captain and who couldnt get another run in the NRL, gets appointed Captain of the Tigers without playing an NRL game?

Ive been watched Hastings closely after he signed with us and whilst I agree he does a lot of talking and directing traffic I thought as a first receiver, (which these days can be a backrower, lock, hooker, half, trainer 🤭), he was running very laterally and not engaging the line, in Superleague that may work but not in the NRL, so as a captain if he or his support players get belted then he and his mates are going to lose confidence, he may develope into a great Captain but for now my first choice is AD because of his passion and skillset. Whilst he's injured I'd go with Lucy.

Liddle to me has to be the obvious candidate. He is well spoken, confident and an inspiration the way he came back from the terrible knee injury.

Coming back from repeated injuries is genuinely inspirational. Not being able to pass from dummy half, is not.

Liddle has a lot of work to do to cement his spot int he team let alone worry about captain.

Completely agree. Liddle was incredibly underwhelming

In my experience of being on many teams, it’s rare to respond to or to respect a screamer unless they are an exceptional player and person. Any “screamer” will collapse as soon as their actions don’t match their words. In my experience a leader is like 75% action and his words the rest. In my experience a screamer without the actions to back it up is poison.

I don’t want a screamer as Captain. As halfback, maybe, as long as the captain is there to temper it.
