Any drug program would need agreement from sheens and Maguire. There is zero risk.

I have said in the past I would be ok with him as an assistant where he has little authority, but this isn't about him being an assistant.

Thread title says otherwise… unless Madge gets the arse

He wants to come here as a stepping stone to our top job.

A stepping stone to the Parra job more likely…

Prefer he go straight to that then come here.

Please bring in Flanagan. Yes he has been a villain in the past but he knows a footballer, is a great man manager and can slide into the top job without the fuss the WTs' attracts.

You don't risk the health of our players to win football games.

That's your opinion but it is not shared by me nor others. If he does come you have a decision to make.

Just like you have a decision to make regarding Hastings.

Saying this before he's even pulled on the jersey for WT?

I have Zero problem with this. Madge must know that if he does not make the top8 in 2022 he is GONE.
As long as Flanagan does not white-ant Madge. Let him be the assistant then head coach in 2023

We almost certainly won't make the 8 next year, our roster is still mud. Maguire shouldn't be judged on that alone next year IMO. If we don't make the 8 in '23 then would be more than happy to say this experiment has failed and bring in someone else. We will be lucky to avoid the spoon in '22 TBH.

Can't wait for the Flanagan announcement.

"3 premiership winning coaches lead Tigers to their first finals appearance in 10 years."

I too wasn't a fan of Shane, until I heard him speak reliably on Fox this year. A very smart footballing mind.

With him, Sheens and Madge and Kimmorley and Farah at the club... I think it's looking strong.

We all make mistakes.
Do the crime, do the time.

Flanagan surely isn't stupid enough to make the same mistakes twice.

Lets hope its a coach with a better defense structures then maguire .

I think Madge should just be himself...

Not sure if it was just cos the cameras were on but he seemed forced on the doco. Even his sprays felt second gear.

Let Madge be himself and tear the place down if needed... then have a soft calming influence with Flanno or Dean Pay type to keep the lads on track.

Surley no body actually thinks Flanagan is going to be sneaking around putting illegal supplements into the players water haha

Definitely not.

Once bitten, twice shy.
He wouldn't do it again knowing it'd be the end of his career and income.

Agree
I don't think a successful year next year should be judged on making the 8.
We are going through a major rebuild
I'd be looking for improvement in the right areas with a big step up in 2023.

Panthers with their young team didn't make the 8 in 2019 the GF in 2020

I bet that is what the Sharks thought too.

Given the lack of gameplan, ability to play for 80 minutes, inability to use the shoulder in defence and lack of spark in attack, I'll take pretty much anyone over the imposters we had last season. If Flanagan is one of them, so be it.

And get the same rubbish insipid performances? The club needs to change, that's a fact. Madge needs to surround himself with stronger support staff, and that seems to be the way the club is heading. This change is inevitable mate.

I want change, don't want Flanagan, I would prefer another year like this year than have him. I have no interest in drug cheats.
