Andrew Gray has left the club also, though it was a decision he made midyear. So this (Head of Performance) is another position that will need filling. Anyone have an idea in this area on any possible candidates?

So our head of performance role is a part time job.

I think you'll find the position was not one to fit the interstate Covid bubble.

What could he be doing at Concord while the team was in Qld? Surely you'd just let him go.

Flanagan would be the worst signing to our club imo and that is not even considering his talentless sprog coming with him

Not true

I'll do any of em.
100k a year salary.
Negotiable.

YOU ALREADY HAVE A ROLE

You are Happy's heavy .....remember .....players don't listen to Coach Happy .....

You take them to that special room at the COE for Attitude Adjustment Therapy (or AAT for short ) and layeth the smackdown on them until they understand .......

Yes Jackson ...if / when you actually ever become an NRL player ..you might actually understand what the hell he and Johns are actually talking about

Also Jackson you need an ounce of speed to make it in the NRL as a half ...you may want to head down to Aldi when you get back ...keep forgetting you can't buy that type of speed ..

Flanagan must have plenty of friends in the media, another News Ltd piece pushing his case.

Slothfield and his mates are a complete disgrace all they have are agendas which they print as "journalism".

I'd be looking at elevating Wayne Lambkin to the NRL coaching staff ..experienced respected junior coach .. knows pathways ..had the Flegg side humming..already in our system..

I'd prefer not to cannibalise parts of the club that running well.

I agree, although I don't know much about him it seems he is good with the juniors and may even be an attraction for us signing younger players to develop under his tutelage.

And then there's Gardiner and KOE. I would imagine the personal aspirations and experience of both these guys need to be taken into account if being looked at as possible NRL assistants - and nurtured by the club.

Although Gardiner surely must be close to getting a call-up if NRL coaching is an aspiration for him? Gardiner would be the more qualified of the two?

Yeah mate, despite my post that you quoted I agree, you need to create an environment of advancement to create a successful environment.

I am not sure Gardiner wants an NRL gig, he is still a part time coach.

Well I hope the club is communicating well with our coaching staff, equally as important as communications with players!
At some point Lambkin should be ripe for an assistant NRL position and bring that younger player rapport he has with him.

Maloney says high? What a great player that had an unbridled will to succeed and was very SLOW in the run stakes … rather have skill that can be used in the red zone than pace any day .. Already have a 7 that has pace how’s that worked out !

You are forgetting Maloney played in teams only he chose to play with ie they contained big, fast backs and very capable forwards. At WTs we don't have the players. Adding a snail to a pedestrian backline increases pressure on the few players who do have pace (Laurie, Brooks and Kepaoa if he is back for the start of the season). It also makes it easier for our opponents to nullify those players with pace as there are fewer to mark.

Yep Maloney is as selfish as they come on par with Cameron. No white knight was a winner, that is new how to back one.

Sort of guy you'd take to the races with you.
