Who would harden up the Wests Tigers

It is the coach.

You can't make meals out of awful ingredients. Yet my mother in law can make a 5 spice chicken that taste's heavenly, I can make you want to order Mcdonalds 🙂

James Tamou, a reserve grade player? Who took Penrith to the finals?
Stephano? An origin player last year?
These players should be improving. Yes we have injuries but we had a reasonable side today.... Nothing.

We lost 22 to 2 against a side missing their star player and that made a stack of errors. If it's 22-16, sure that happens. When it's 22-2 it means our defense isn't competitive and our attack is asleep!
You obviously did not see todays game.

Is Doueihi close to playing 80 minutes?
If Hastings requires surgery I'd rather he get it now and we use who works best out of Doueihi, Brooks and Madden.
I'd guess Doueihi is at least 3-4 weeks away from being back to 80 minutes. Looks like he's in great shape up close and even taller in person, but it'll probably take a bit more time build up that stamina after a long layoff.

I have no idea what type of injury Hasting's is carrying but fairly sure it's the same foot injury from weeks ago. I don't recall him having any strapping on his knees or anything like that against the Dogs.

It’s a simple game. It starts with your forwards going forward - unfortunately for us that’s where it ends. We would easily have the least effective pack in the NRL. I have just watched the first hslf of today’s game and don’t remember one strong hit up from any player in our pack (except maybe Offa). It’s the place I’d be starting to get us onto the right path.
When your prop rotation consists of Seyfarth, Musgrove and 2 debutants well that says it all.

We were rolled over the top of all game.

Stef was part of our prop rotation so we had 5 props but we were out muscled.

Yes, Paul Gallon. I personally never liked him, seemed like a grub at the time, but he had everything as a player that no one in this team has,and needs to be coached into them.
Yea, but there is the problem.

Gallen is a Boxer and gets the Million dollar pay packet per fight. Unsure if he will keep going, but he is likely going to find more money elsewhere. Ofcourse, hey if John Morris Coaches here or Flanagan, it's possible. As we are, forget it.

That said, Gallen was a tough as nails player. Was he really the reason for their tough pack??? He was a hell of a big part of it. Yet I say it elsewhere, Chris Heighington/Luke Lewis/Jayson Bakula developed a training culture at the gym. Gallen is a brick wall, sure he would inspire toughness in many. But tuning people up, getting the best performance out of them... I don't know if Gallen is the best at this???

Case in point: Nathan Cayless was a really tough player. It honestly seemed to be Nathan Hindmarsh in every tackle but Nathan Cayless adding hardness to the parra pack. Yet look at how he is going with us?

Absolutely- they were always going to be tough today and they ran off the back fence all day, even their backs. I thought for the most part we muscled up in D and out contact was good. But we were totally “out muscled” and are every week. We simply need bigger, tougher, meaner and more mobile forwards because ours aren’t up to most of the forwards in the comp.

I think WT need more than One Coach.

They need a team that can restore much need pride and respect into the jersey.

Flanagan is the only one that appears to have some chance of turning this mess around given what he did at Cronulla. Maybe a team of Flanagan, John Morris and Paul Gallen.

In all honest I’ve never been interested in pre season trial games. I feel all these remaining games are just that, since we won’t be making the playoff. The way I see it is players still have a duty to perform, it’s competition. Id be telling most of the players that all your contract are up for review at the end of the year. We owe it to the club.
