I know we had an opportunity for this in 2016/17 but it sucks that our best players in Laurie, Stefano, Blore, AD ( I know he's our Junior but he didn't debut with us) and Luciano aren't WT through and through.

WT would always have 60-70% local Juniors in their squad. In a sense, to me anyway, that was a big part of WT identity.

Adam is definitely Tigers 'through and through' in spite of his brief stint at Souths (the opportunity he took because he wasn't part of the Tigers plans at the time) - If you have access via Fox/Kayo watch his extended interview (it's about 18 minutes) listed as an extra part of the 'Tigertown' series.

He genuinely seems a top bloke and wants his club (that he's loved since he was a kid) to succeed...


I'd still rather want Brooks and Noffa to do well instead of the above (provided they are still here). Simply because they are WT through and through.

I'd be happy for anyone to do well regardless of their background. At some point the club needs to be a bit more ruthless and say 'sorry you're not up to standard' even if they've come through all the way from juniors.

I'm sure AD is a great person and probably a better player than Brooks but it's gonna take years for me to develop the same connection with him.

Initial post I made though was mainly about more of a "what could have been"

It’s not about who we keep it’s about who we buy to add strength to our team , our priority should be to add

You have to shed before you add (i.e. create spots in your 30).

We need to lock about 20 of them in a shed .....

Simpkin and Liddle must be kept. The current version of V'Landys ball has made the 9 the most important on the field. Penrith are quality right across the park, but don't win without Korisou. I would rather add Grant than Hughes (from Melbourne) for that reason. Only Manly went well without a good 9, but they have the luxury of having a freak #1. If we still had Teddy, we too would have made a couple of finals in the last few years.
