I don't mind Parra **Stadium**. Its pretty easy to get to with a few watering holes scattered around the place

Would be nice to see Leichhardt redeveloped in a similar style

I think that's the difference, Parra is regarded as a Stadium whereas Leichhardt is just an Oval not much better than your local park footy oval.

They'd never get approval to put in something like Parra Stadium in at Leichhardt or probably fit it more to the point without buying up a whole lot of houses in adjacent streets and / or some of the hospital buildings / land.

The fans need to do what they did at Cumberland Oval back in 1981 when they burnt down the grandstand after winning the GF http://www.eraofthebiff.com/p21-yarn-02.html.Then Parra shared home grounds with someone (can't remember who) whilst they built the stadium.

Besides Michael Jackson did a concert there (pre Homebush) so it can't be that bad eh ?

I would not be surprised if leichhardt council would be thinking quite the opposite. That land must be worth quite a bit. Anyone heard of Harold park?

Although, could only imagine the uproar.

Anyway, I won't be at parra stadium. Too many parra fans will be there.
