Anasta best year in the last few was 2010 when he had a firing carney and Pearce, he didn't have to be the main man. He has never been a dominant play maker and always played his best footy when he could take a backseat to someone else. With benji and Farah he will be able to do that.

Funny that when I think Benji plays his best…problem this year is he hasn't been able to do that!

Who is the genius that decided we needed Anasta. Time to review my 40 plus years membership. We need 80 minute players not 15 minute playing and 65 minute whining to the ref. A rooster mate of mine has sent a text "thank you, thank you, thank you…now we might win some games" he said. Tim, just do us one favour, do NOT let him ever captain the Tigers.

U need to re think your 40 years membership because we signed Anastasia? Want a tissue?? I knew there were whingers here, but blouses I wasn't sure. Thanks for confirming my questions.

We hadn't had a proper halfback

Anasta is a footballer. He doesn't care what number is on his back. He leads by example. That is exactly what this team needs.

I hope you people are watching the games. If you watched any games last year you would have known Blair was going ordinary. Guess what, Anasta is going even worse. I liked him as a footballer, however he looks to be running on old legs. He might he just mighty frustrated and therefore way below his best at Easts, however he looks in the twilight to me.

The Anasta signing didn't having me popping champagne corks, but I see value in him. He has the reputation of being very professional and I think he offers a bit on the field. I see him offering most value as an edge second rower, where he played in 2010, in played very well that year.

My biggest fear with Anasta, is like other so called big signing, he will get a start every week. Form and the teams form will not come into the equation he will be a auto selection.

At first I thought just what we need, but now Iam not so sure. We have enough players on our books that have low work rates. All our problems comer back to defense, if we could defend like Manly, we would all be buying grand final tickets but sadly our defense is poor and has been for years. Fix the defense and we have a real quality team and Anasta will not fix our defense

We could do with a gun centre. You know, any fast one will do.
Can Gareth send a beauty back to us from England.
Due to injuries & crap form our centres have been a weakness espec v the top clubs.
Visions of Tim Brasher running off Benji… I better wake up now

IMHO, Anasta is a player with the right attitude, good in defense, ball running and will offer a few extra options in attack. He can play both #6 and # 13.
ATM we have no player that can step in when Benji gets injured, with Anasta this problem can be solved.
He is also more than adequate goal kicker.

Go Tigers

Great post….spot on!!!!!!! :sign: :sign: :sign: :sign: :sign:

Hopefully if Moltzen pulls a rabbit out the hat and plays well in 5/8 then we have our halves pairing with Benji and Sironen or Moltz (one to utility 14.) and Anasta at 13\. Or to step in to the halves when needed.
It'll be good to have that comfort rather than 6 or 7 odd halves pairing in a year.
