Who is the genius that decided we needed Anasta. Time to review my 40 plus years membership. We need 80 minute players not 15 minute playing and 65 minute whining to the ref. A rooster mate of mine has sent a text "thank you, thank you, thank you…now we might win some games" he said. Tim, just do us one favour, do NOT let him ever captain the Tigers.

You have to have more to your game than than, and he hasn't. I think I am going to have to find another team or another sport.

I can not wait for him to come tigers, he will be great for us he has a good kicking game and also played lock in the 2010 season was great.

enjoy….polo might be worth a try...

Might be on my own but I think it's a good signing. Plenty of big game experience, cool head, passionate and aggressive, won't be intimidated to overcall benji or robbie…and there is no way in hell he will run the ball on the last when we are up by 2 in a semi with 3 minutes to go.

I think he'll be handy. He's got a good football brain and has kept himself very fit and healthy over the years. I wouldn't be playing him the full 80 minutes, and I'm not sure what position I'd start him in either, as he has some utility value.

Given young Sirro won't be back for round 1, I'd probably be inclined to start Braith at 6 and also perhaps use him as an interchange lock with Heighno.

Anasta best year in the last few was 2010 when he had a firing carney and Pearce, he didn't have to be the main man. He has never been a dominant play maker and always played his best footy when he could take a backseat to someone else. With benji and Farah he will be able to do that.

I'm just a bit perplexed about how he fits into our team. He may be good, but I just don't know where he s going to play.?????

I've felt the same way about either Anasta or Moltzen

If we had one you don't really need the other

I suppose in the trials it will come down to who performs better , Moltzen or Anasta in the 6 jersey

Still think anasta is a good signing - his kicking game, experience, defence and aggro. Yes please!

Like Willow said, i think its obvious he will start at 6 next year with Sironen recovering from his shoulder injury And he we be handy. If theres one thing we need, its a player who will demand the ball away from Marshall a bit.

FWIW…the roosters were caught on the last in possesion at least 4 or 5 times last night

first it was cant wait till blair comes to the tigers, then it was cant wait till lawrence is back, then it was cant wait till farah is back, then cant wait till ellis is back.. now it's cant wait till anasta comes to the tigers. people have got to realise, ONE player cannot change how we play.. it's a 13 man game for a reason.

IMHO, Anasta is a player with the right attitude, good in defense, ball running and will offer a few extra options in attack. He can play both #6 and # 13.
ATM we have no player that can step in when Benji gets injured, with Anasta this problem can be solved.
He is also more than adequate goal kicker.

Go Tigers

Mmm it's going to be tough, I think Anasta will get the 6 with Moltz playing 14\. But then when Sirro returns does he play 6 pushing Anasta to starting 13? Then Heighno is on the already packed bench.
There's a couple players we will lose. Moltz wont get dropped after being signed for 3 years, Sheens can't look stupid.
Then we have Thompson and Pettybourne with Fulton and Blair for backrow (blair and Pettybourne to rotate with props) so that's 2 on the bench with Moltz and Heighno.
So where does Bell and BMM fit? Both very deserving of a place.
