Bashing up a dressing room at Manly would have fired up the Burgess brothers, and all those things Madge did would get senior / tough vets ready to win.

Our blokes though? Brooks, MBye? Our pack? Most probably giggled.

Let's hope we either get some or that some of ours actually toughen up...

Actually I see it the other way round ...most vets have seen it all ...coaches destroying dressing rooms , hanging oozing Ox's hearts from dressing room doors , getting in big name players faces , running a mile for every try the opposition scored ....

I can imagine a young Curtis Scott / a young Michael Crocker absolutely loving this stuff and leading the team in responding.

Aloiai is slowly turning into that. He’s been fantastic this year hopefully Mikaele and Musgrove follow suit.

Josh seems very quiet? Definitely plays tough, as does Twal...but they both seem very quiet?

As long as they play hard and tough that’s all we need. As much as I loved seeing James Graham scream at people not sure it’s a super necessary trait to have. They aren’t very outspoken guys that’s for sure

Maybe Madge's vision @ElleryHanley got through to Packer, and he was trying to lead the way, set an example to the nice guys in our team....this is how you do it boys....but of course in his enthusiasm he went just that little bit tooooo farrrrr.
I've got a feeling he will be back as soon as his suspension is over.

At the end of the day Michael “Madge” Maguire is the only Coach that I think has the right philosophies and ideologies to push this club into the future and quite frankly would of been the ideal Coach to replace Sheens and the mess he left behind all those years ago...So to put it bluntly if someone like Madge cannot right the wrongs that have being placed on our club over the past decade and I say this to all the naysayers out there who the hell (realistically) can?

I really like Madge as a coach...passionate about the club and winning...he may have some unusual traits in regards to getting his message across,but geez we all have different personalities and characters..
the only thing I will say in regards to players who don't like his style or his way of delivering his point across,be like Matterson and leave..
If you are truly devoted to your club and being a professional NRL player,then you learn to adapt to his way of coaching by listening,learning and become mentally strong to play pressure football week in week out....that's what professional players get paid to do,winning is the satisfaction of all the hard work you do(the moral of the story is to achieve results you have to work hard to get the good results).I don't think what Madge does is to over the top,he hasn't killed anyone to my knowledge,but if it makes the players sit up and take notice then Im all for it...go for it Madge and hopefully some of the softies in our team can toughen up like Twal,Aloia,Luci and company..
