Why that win was so good...

I really rate that win yesterday against the Eels for a number of reasons: We created plenty of attacking opportunities. Our defence was excellent. We were up against a hostile home crowd. We were hammered 7-0 in second half penalties when the refs were evening out possession. We were up against a team desperate to save their season. We still have key players out with injury (Moltzen, Gibbs, McKinnon even TNT). We showed so much determination and commitment, illustrated by Todd Payten getting back to save that try…

We held our nerve and won. Yesterday showed that a simple semi final berth is not enough for this team - they have their eyes on the bigger prize.

I am a very proud Tigers supporter today. Well done, boys.

Well said mate and special mention to Payten for that last gasp effort to save the try…..that was very very special from the big fella.
We could have realistically been up 30 nil at half time, we actually blew them off the field, just didnt convert as well as we would have liked.

I'll admit that I thought we were stuffed after the Souths loss, the way they have bounced back in the previous two weeks has been outstanding.

yeah they were fairly lucky that Chris' passes didn't find Lote, lucky Ellis didn't back off from the ball in that first disallowed try and lucky that Robbie didn't just fall on Benji's grubber. We were all over them and it wasn't really due to an overly lopsided penalty count, I think it was only 3-1 in the first half.

It was a 7-0 penalty count in the 2nd half and it wasn't due to our undisciplined play, they were just crap penalties. Not standing square at marker, that was done all day by both sides. Ball stripped for the Luke Burt miss kick penalty at the end, that was just a dropped ball, the player didn't have a firm grasp of the ball. Shane Hayne gave Parramatta every opportunity to win that game and I believe that justice was served in the end.

I agree bloody hayne gave them every chance to win the game but somehow we hung on. i was at the game and boy was my heart pounding for that last 5-10 minutes. and i was very happy to walk away with the 2 points. also to see those window licking parra supporters crying on the way out was also a special moment.

It was a great team effort and they deserved the win..What is good to see is everyone is giving it their all.
Payten , Ayshford need a special mention.Ellis tackled all day.Fulton was supporting just about every play and our stars Robbie and Benji were awesome.Lui is coming along fine too.Just a shame Heighington was a bit average.

The intensity was high the whole game. We were in control the whole time, dangerous from all 4 corners of the field and you had the feeling the whole match that Parra were trying their hardest.

We haven't done it before this season and I haven't seen us play the way we did since late last year during our surge. Brilliant.

The win stands out for me because it is the 1st time since 05 that we have won a Blockbuster game.
vs Souths at Leichhardt 07
vs Parra 09 etc. I was proud of the way the boys handled the occasion.

why that win was so good…

1\. revenge
2\. it was against the cockiest team in the nrl
3\. it was at their home
4\. watching the bandwagoners cry as i start a tigers chant on the way out

PRICELESS !!!!!
