Why the Farah hate campaign?

Can someone please tell me why Farah, the second best hooker running around after Cameron Smith (with daylight third) is clearly disliked by selectors and commentators?

He got punted for NSW when the whole team played crap. In Game 1 that year he was almost the best in a losing side.

Now clearly the selectors and particularly Laurie Daley don't like him. Then we have to listen to that dribble last night about Hinchcliffe playing for Country. Now I was watching a different game because I thought in the first 20 minutes that he was having an absolute shocker. The rest of the game he was nothing more than average. I even thought to myself at one stage that Ennis would have gone far better, and that is saying something. But really, the dribble about Hinccliffe all night was sickening. :wtf

I don't think he will play for NSW again despite the fact he is EXACTLY the player we need.

Quite clearly it has got to the stage where Farah has done something behind the scenes. Even when he has an absolute blinder, very little if anything is said. Can someone please tell me what is going on?

Ennis > Hinchcliffe. Farah is better than the both of them.
Top 3 hookers in the game; Cameron Smith, Robbie Farah & Isaac Luke.
 
I thought that Hinchcliffe almost killed Country's chances of winning with his crap passes near the end when they had a chance for a field goal. Obviously none of the commentators saw this.
 
Yea it was a bit of a joke - Hinchcliffe was solid but those clowns now have him as the saviour of NSW - guess thats why he is running around in reggies every week.
 
He has been inconsistent for a while. When he played origin he missed one on one tackles and passed the ball along the ground which led to tries being scored by QLD.

Last year he came up with one of his patented dummy half kicks against St George in the semis that went dead when we had a back line outside of him that could have scored. If he passed that ball we may have scored and we may have won. He has done that same play more than once this year.

There is a reason to not like him and as a Wests Tigers supporter I see those reason because he has killed us on occasions.

He is a great player though. When he is on form, doesn't miss any tackles, doesn't hog it and he doesn't come up with that really bad play he is one of the best hookers/play makers in the game. I think if he simply cut the crap out of his game he would be as good as Cameron Smith & Issac Luke. On his day he could be better than both of them.
 
I don't think it is so much about being Lebanese I think that he is cu.lturally different and by that I mean he is intelligent, businessman type who has interests other then beer and betting and golf.

As a player I really think he has developed and changed his game in the last couple of years. His defence has improved to the point where he is an awesome and hard working defender, his passing is better now then it has ever been - crisp , clean and he takes a team around the paddock better then he ever did. He still does the magical thiongs he used to do but these days isnt trying to do it all himself. SO he plays a more conservative team game. This is what the selectors wanted and from what I understand this is definatly what Stuart was looking for - Fittler made a point of praising his game and this was because they wanted him to tackle and pass well and steer a team around the field - they know he can do awesome things what they wanted last night was to see the basics done well over and over - with 48 tackles and more meters out of dummy half then hinchcliffe and beautiful passing and a combo with pearce - did you notice City has so little ball in the country 20 but scored 3 times and on each of them it went Farah, Pearce, Next Player scores and that was because he was playing smart

But yes I agree the lack of respect from Vossy and Johns was ridiculous - although they are the typical betting and booze rough blokes (which is fine) but they like the Ennis type bloke and they unfortunatly let that carry over to their commentry with bias which is dissapointing
 
I was saying in another post that was probably one of best games for farah in 2011 didn't overplay his hand at all tonight and if you watch all three cities tries started from him…...btw his defence was outstanding, he is building to his best form again every week he's getting better

I'd tend to agree… Robbie did his job well last night and now there is headlines that Hinchcliffe could be a bolter for Origin? I'm like WTF...

You would have to think there is 1, possibly 2 things that the Selectors or Team Management dont like about Robbie's game. I highly doubt it is discrimination, some thing personal or something like that... It must be something they just dont like in his game that we cant see???

The other guy who cant seem to get a mention (yes he is injured) is Issac DeGois... Personally, if I was a NSW Selector, Robbie would be starting 9 with De Gois coming from the bench...

Good points there BB, firstly I thought Robbie had a good game last night doing the things you have mentioned. Vossy has no idea and is a self opiniated expert on league I think he says things for the sake of it.
 
Daley can go sit on it! Farah should be picked for nsw .. If not kiss all your chances good bye of bringing that trophy this side of the boarder anytime soon !!

I didn't watch all of the game last night but Robbie did look good and did exactly what I want him to do on regular basis. His problem is that he isn't consistent and his mistakes can come at critical times in the game.

I think he has to get picked for SOO because he has the most ability of all the NSW hookers and is consistently the better player. I can also see the selectors issue - he makes bad mistakes and those mistakes can turn a game.

It is a tough decision.
 
As I said in other thread any selector worth his salt won't be listening to the ramblings of Johns ,Hindmarsh Vossy etc Don't write Farah off yet
 
I think it is simply an opinion by the selectors and coaches that robbie can sometime take some bad options in pressure situations, origin is the type of game where you just have to be spot on all the time, you can get away with it in club games but one mistake at origin level can be the ball game, he is probably more talented than the other hookers in the mix but I think they will go for dependability in the end.

He doesn't get away with it in club games. It has cost us big time.

You have basically nailed the situation however - he is more talented than most other hookers in the games, definitely more than any hooker in NSW but he comes up with really poor options at critical times.

I think that the selectors may go with Robbie this time and I hope they do because he is so close to becoming the best hooker in the game. If his game gets tweaked a bit we will win a lot more games and Robbie will play SOO.
 
For some reason, Robbie is seen as not having enough aggression in his game.

He has earned a few Australian jumpers because at that level skill is the major pre-requisite.

When it comes to NSW though, they seem to want players who will belt the tripe out of the opposition in defense. That isnt Robbies go. If he was a qlder he would be given a go because they still value the high skill of attacking players. NSW haven't picked a skill based side in years and the results speak for themselves.

That try he laid on for Marshall at Canberra last week is the exact reason he has earned a few Kangaroo jumpers. That try he didnt stop against Hinchcliffe last night is the reason NSW constantly overlook him.

One of the commentators ( can't remember which one ) mentioned his poor passing under pressure killing their chances of a field goal .
How he got MOM amazes me - apart from his try wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary.
Also thought Heighington lucky to not get penalised for taking out Hayne on the kick that got country home.

This is the reason he must get picked. To beat QLD we will need to score 20 plus points. No other current hooker in the game could have done that skill to set up the try against Canberra, especially no other NSW hooker.

I for one think he must be picked but don't expect him to get picked. Any one that thinks Ennis or Young are better options for SOO know crap all about rugby league.
