Why the lack of confidence in Moltzen in 2011?

As a fan, i really believe he was ocming on in 2009, 2010 prior to his injury. I hope he isn't benched all year in favour of Lui and/or McKinnon…despite them performing ok week to week.

Opinions on tim?

I think he is a gun. I think Lui is looking like he could also be a great long term prospect therefore I'd like to see Moltzen given a good go at fullback in the hope of keeping them all.

He didn't play well at the start of 2010 prior to his injury, I think that's why some people have their hesitations. Plus, with Lui performing the way he is and McKinnon being a better fullback at the moment, it's hard to think where he will slot in.

I think the number 17 is perfect for Moltz until his form warrants otherwise.

Take a while for him to get form again…...10 - 30 minutes a game won't help.
I would like to see him get a couple of full games in BRET or Magpies.

I disagree on all counts, I think he played well last year, very well actually. I think he is a better half than Lui and a better fullback than McKinnon

Sheens has said he is going to give Moltz more game time as the rounds go on. He will become an integral part of the team over the next 2 months.

I don't have a lack of confidence in Tim I think Tim still has a lack of confidence in Tim due to the fact he is recovering from his injury and that is pretty easy to see

I think 2 or 3 partial trial games and 2 NRL games is plenty of time for someone of his calibre to get his confidence back.

With the unfortunate injuries suffered against Canberra I wouldn't be surprised if Moltzen starts the game this weekend at centre with Brown or Daniela on the wing.

Depends on the injury. You obviously havent had a knee reconstruction. Also keep in mind he watched Lazarus suffer a second knee injury after a long rehab.

Disregard, just read the Lui thread, looks like Moltzen will be half in place of injured Lui.

Molten will be ready to fire….i liked what i saw against the Warriors...and he got more time against the Raiders which was great.....

I hope Sheens does pick him at 7 but Robbie and Benji need to ramp it up again....

nope, never had a knee reconstruction. now i think about it more i can definitely see your point.

He's a gun 5/8, unfortunatly we've already got one of those.. the best in the world in fact. Lui & McKinnon are far better options at 1 & 7\. I like Moltzen a lot, just can't place him in the side, unless its centre or bench.. neither fitted to his quality.

But I guess with Lui sidelined he'll get his chance.

Tim was in great form last year when he suffered the injury. He is the best player in the club at 'reading' Benji, therefore he is suited to either half, centre or fullback.

Looks like he's about to be a halfback again, if Rob Lui is out.
