Why we shouldn't be worried yet

Round 16 - without Marshall, Lawrence, Tuqiri (i.e our attack) we lose by 10 conceding just 16 points.
Round 15 - without Lawrence, Tuqiri we lose to the ladder leaders by 8 conceding just 12 points.
Round 14 - win
Round 13 - win
Round 12 - Lose to the reigning premiers and competition favourites by 6 points and go close to leveling with minutes to go.
Round 11 - win
Round 10 - Worst performance of the season v Souths but we still had a very good second half.

So realistically, the 6 rounds since that match against Souths we've been on the improve. Especially our defense. We're obviously going to be lacking try scoring prowess and speed without Lawrence and Tuqiri and last week without Marshall. All these players will be returning very shortly.

So basically, our defense is actually looking VERY good. We've been under the pump in both the last two games to a huge extent and have turned away attack for long periods. With our three major attacking weapons in the team, we would almost never lose to a team that only scores 16 or 12 points.

We aren't even close to done yet. Lawrence and Tuqiri will make a huge difference. I also hope Utai is on the other wing just to assist with the forwards.

If Lawrence and Marshall are back vs. Parramatta I fully believe we will cane them. Pencil Tuqiri in for a week later and we are back to full strength on the back of a win, with our defense finally looking solid. Game on.

It really all hangs on the Parra game.

Because of those reasons, I'm worried but still hopeful….I think all Tigers fans are at the moment.

One thing I hated at the start of the year was the talk we were going to win the comp, it put a lot of pressure on us and made teams bring their best games at us. Couple that with injuries to key players we were bound to do it tough.

There's still 9 games left though....let's hope we can do a 2005 in 2011!
