just asking ….is timmy moltzen in doubt ... it dosent show much confidence if we are carrying a fullback ... i suppose meaney will get the usual 5 minutes at the end of the game ....

His versatility is invaluable for an interstate match…

interchange..Lawrence to second row..Moltzen to centre..Brown to FB and Meany to wing..isn't that how this coach works ?

reminds me of matthew elliot in the cricket.

always racks up heaps of runs at state level, then dies in the ass at test level.

Meaney kills it in State Cup from what I hear, but then has clangers when he plays for us in First Grade.

Meaney is not that good he plays in premier league for BRET. I have seen him in first grade previously and he was not that good so i don't understand why they pick him.

I would like to see him given a proper run and actually start a game.

He was up and down in the one game he started in but the entire team sucked that evening.

Any player needs time to adjust to the NRL.

He offers coverage for the backline and can pinch hit at hooker if Lui is not cutting it and he wants to shift Farah.

Time and confidence are what any player needs to fall into the flow.

Is this because he is not a Wests Junior? In which case he would be able to align planets blindfolded whilst roller blading carrying hot coals!!
I think you'll find Meaney is FAR from a first grader, Granted, He hasn't had great games… But he is still green. The limited time he has had we have been behind.
Anyone calling for Mullaney, Should remember he is Acres behind Means in terms of NRL standard.
I will be watching with keen interest, Hoping he gets some gametime and Hoping the Tiges are on the Front Foot.... Then maybe you will all see some the real Meaney!!

I can see what Fonz wants to do, but Meaney is far from a first grade player.

Well, if he doesn't perform on the big stage, he does a great job at teaching my nephew how to swim so he always has something to fall back on!

In response to the thread subject, I think he is in the 17 due to the relentless pressure coming from this forum.

This is a victory for us people, let's celebrate that finally, a bunch of people sitting behind a computer screen know more about players than the coach!

Maybe he washed Marshall's car this week.

With gun shy Moltzen at full back I think the Cowboys will be specials.

What has Junior Moors done not to earn an NRL call up?

GOLD!!
