Disagree, Benny was tough and always a little bit underrated but delivered on most fronts, except kicking in general play.
Played at all higher levels inc Kangaroos. They don’t give those jumpers away in the bottom of a cereal pack.

I agree, but Benny missed out on a premiership. Both Champions and in different eras both done the Tiger proud.

Yes he did but I don’t think that changes my opinion. I liked Farah, on the field, and respected his achievements inc SOO, but would always go with “Backdoor” in any team selections.
For any younguns who don’t know where he got that nickname, ask your father.

Love it , was he your all time favourite ? I think Benny was ORIGIN everyday of the week.

I’ve had many, many all time favourites but he was up there.
He played in a much tougher time than Robbie and was continually targeted. The Walters Bros hated him. But he kept bouncing back.
Hard to classify players of different eras so coming back to the present, I’m hoping API is the spark we need around the ruck.
Maybe Nu Brown can test out the ruck next week when it’s not 5 metres or less from the tryline.
But then again, Nu will probably need to hone another position to get selected. Or be happy with giving API a spell, although he never usually has one.

I think( hope) API could turn out to be a very shrewd purchase and not just someone looking for a retirement payout.
Do you know how old he is coz I guess he has to slow down a bit with time.
Also love his grass cutting tackling technique, big or small, they fall like a tree, which is the way I was taught to tackle.
None of this grappling rubbish. Up under the ball and into the ribs or around the ankles. Both very effective.

Benny was far better imo and changed the way hookers played,a complete mongrel of a man but a great footballer
Love your work Shadow but have to disagree CS was the Goat. If Robbie played for Melbourne Storm , he would have been the Goat by a country mile. Robbie was better in most stats , inc Origin stats , except for wins. Just cause all his QLD & Melbourne mates say it, it aint necesarrily so. Robbie the GOAT. 🙂
Sounds like you listen to the"Mitchell Pearce is only a crap halfback be cause Robbies too smart " or the Jason Taylor BS " Luke Brooks dont do crap cause Robbie wont give him the ball". Yep blame the great players , not the incompetence ones..
