a game where fitzy doesnt do something dumb is rare, i mean he could of scored that try on the weekend he had to pin his ears back and go for it, lawry tuiaki or lote would of scored it, thats why fitzy isnt considered a good finisher i mean he averages 1 try every 3 games and for a winger on the end of our backline thats pretty poor

You could also say that a game where Benji doesn't do something dumb is rare. You have to weigh the good against the bad, though…

Why is that exactly?

As has already been stated it is of my opinion the Fitzhenry is a mediocre first grade winger. With all due respect to the man he can't control team selections and i'm sure he plays his heart out everytime he pulls on a Wests Tigers jersey and I will respect him for that, but I don't live in fantasy land and people outside of that realm can all acknowledge that there have been players whom warrant/ed selection above this man. It is a discredit to those players abilities that Fitzy still holds the record. When you think of teams greatest tryscorers you think of names such as Ettingshausen, Menzies, Lamb et al and they are living legends of the game and the tries they scored were as much from being set up by their inside men as they were from sheer individual brilliance. I can't discredit the guy for scoring the tries but his general overall impact on the team does not hold worth when talking teams greatest overall tryscorers.

I know people will hit back and say that he still scored the tries and what more could you ask of the man, but it is of my opinion that whoever was put on that wing would have scored just as many tries. The fact that the majority of those tries were set up from his inside men and all Fitzy had to do was simply fall over the line partially discredits holding that record. If a greater skill set was involved then I would be of a different opinion definitely.
