Will Cherrington be happy to wait?

So, let me get this right.
We have Farah, a current Australian and SOO player, who is also captain of the club.
We also have Cherrington, a very talented but unproven (amongst men) young hooker, who has not played even one game of NRL….
and some of you want us to dump Farah on speculation? :crazy

 Yes that's how we roll

No

I'm suggesting we play both Farah and Cherrington by moving Farah to lock for 10-20 minutes a game

Like Qld does with Smith when they have brought firstly Cronk off the bench and then later DCE off the bench in the later years

I also don't get the Robbie will have to suck it up stance as he gets older it's obvious the speed of the game will catch up with him and he will no longer be an 80 min player

This is pretty funny because you are agreeing with the comment that Robbie will have to suck it up. He won't have a choice.

Did anyone say this ? Its just that Farah may have to stop playing the full 80.

Exactly. To me its common sense. Maybe not straight away but at some point this season.

Yes - one to NSW Cup and one the door!

No I'm saying why people would think he has to suck it up…it's assuming he won't like the idea of not being a 80 min player and will spit the dummy....

Okay - that is pretty dumb. Farah is obviously the no 1 hooker and our captain. He will win us games.

Cherrington though looks like he could slot in and provide some spark for us over the course of the season. There is no need to play him in round 1 but I expect it to happen sometime over the course of the season.

Based on past experience he won't like it.

Depending on how he goes and where we are standing ladder wise after Origin (hopefully we are 3 games clear in first), we could use him for an extended period mid-season to freshen Farah up (like what Melb did with Grub Smith).

Then depending on team structures and injuries etc. we could use him as a running utility forward if his form demands it.

Really we need Farah at his peak heading into the finals and not playing like a busted if we are in contention (Reynolds/Hodgskinson).

When has Farah not spit the dummy given the chance?…. Any excuse.

Ideally, it would be great to have him replace Farah for ten minutes either side of halftime, but with the departure of our 80 minute backrowers (Bodene, Blair) we might be needing all our interchanges for our forwards.

Don't waste your common sense on this crew Steve

I said earlier having Cherrington play, say 20 mins at a time in selected games could be a win..win.. Situation for us…

Farah is the no1 and captain and always will be,however why should we lose Mania because he isn't given ago in the hooker spot because it is taken by Farah,if we are fair dinkum about the future of the WTs this kid should be blooded into FG as soon as it is viable to give him experience and confidence at that level..

Robbie should be forward enough in thinking his spot won't be his for all that much longer and look to future prospects as they come along...life has gone on without Benji and look at the young prospect that will take his spot...MM........I applaud Robbie for the service he has given the club, but we need to have a specialist replacement for him when he does go,young Mania could be it.....

I think we will see Cherrington relieve Farah through the origin period, off the bench in games farah plays, next year we might see him permanently on the bench next season. Probably a good way to build experience.
