Will we make the 8 in 2019?

i think with squad we have we will do well to finish outside the bottom 4\. however if we were to signing 2 decent players before the season, one been a forward and a class center things would be different. but i wont be holding my breathe. it seems like the people in charge are like little school kids have money in there pocket but wont spend it, so i see nothing changing. i will therefore pray for a miracle.

Whether we will make the eight, I don't know. Whether we CAN make the eight, I am certain we can, given an upgrade in coach, a slightly better side and some good old fashioned passion by the players and the fans.

At this stage, I’d say we have a weaker squad than last season. Can’t go backwards in this league and expect to go up. Unless we have some late squad changes, it’s a no from me.

we will be 6th, but in 2004 we came 9th and then won a premiership the next year so it is obviously a sign :roll

Cant agree that we have a weaker squad than last year, however 2 more solid players will certainly help making the eight next year.

If our next two signings are walk up start top 13 players we have a good chance, but if they are journeymen I think we will probably slip a peg or two. Hard to imagine a team with so many players close to the end of their careers doing to much damage. Once again 2020 could be very different

Pretty much agree and what has to be taken into consideration is a few clubs below us this season are going to be definite improvers IMO it is going to be tough with the cattle on the books.

I dont think that many in the eight will drop out next season, Newcastle will be further up , especially if they get Klemmer.
I think we will between 11 and 12\. unless we come up with some decent buys

Many on this forum had the Cowboys in the GF in their predictions last year. A lot can happen. A couple of astute buys and you never know.

That was crazy talk they were lucky to even be playing finals footy.

We need luck with injuries. If Reynolds and liddle play the majority of games I think we get in. Hopefully refs don’t cost us too many games either. Our best 17 on the field will give any team a run for their money. Look at the grand finalist in 2018, we beat Melbourne twice and should have beaten the roosters twice aswell. Now that Cleary is gone I’m actually looking forward to 2019.

1\. Mbye
2\. Nofaluma
3\. Marsters
4\. Roosters guy
5\. Thompson
6\. Reynolds
7\. Brooks
8\. Packer
9\. Farah
10.mautilino
11\. Garner
12\. Lawrence
13\. Matterson
14\. Liddle
15\. Twal
16\. Chee man
17\. Alioai

Top 8 here we come.

Depends on Reynolds and guys like Garner & Aloiai having breakout seasons. Fingers crossed for another wrecking ball and a classy outside back and we'd certainly be a fair shot.

100 % right SC and the importance of our 8-13 playing 20 + games is huge

Whoever our No 1 5/8 is playing 20 + games also crucial along with Brooks and Marsters

As we saw last year , if we need to start digging around looking at our depth we will struggle

I reckon unfortunately 9-10th will be our cross to bear again 😢

Did you hit your head.. said that ages ago about our best 17 and pack staying on the park for as many games as possible for us to do well in 2019 and improve on last year..it was only when the grind kicked in and we copped injuries to key players at he wrong time and our depth was tested and came up short….

You asked if I was serious and went... :brick:

Just checking your OK..you don't want to do.. :brick: too often
