How do we appease the Magpies enough for them to let independent people run Wests Tigers?

- let them design the Campbo WT jersey
- let them run and profit from Campbo games
- honour their proud history at Campbo games
- make the Magpies more prominent on the jersey
- keep the reserve grade side as the magpies and pump money into growing it’s brand

I don’t actually know what they want, but it’s worth having the conversation.

Well the irony is I don't think they are particularly attached to Campbo, I think the burning desire of those diehards is a return to the Innew West.

Even though their own club instigated the original move to Campbelltown.

Misleading advertising mate if you use the branding to collect the cash. You should start there. Remove that, I suspect the WT logo too given its jointly owned. Then wait a few years, then you might be able to cut the junior league funding without lawsuits.

The Rozelle club will never be branded as the magpies. Never.

If Wests Ashfield are genuinely committed to Wests Tigers then all clubs should be rebranded as Wests Tigers clubs.
The fact that all of Wests Ashfield clubs are located in the balmain juniors districts should also be more of an impetus for Wests Ashfield to keep funding them.
If anything stopping the funding of the Macarthur region makes far more sense geographically speaking

Paton and Fallah have both stated they do not have to fund this if they don’t want to.
I very much doubt they are intending or wanting to cut the funding, but more of a statement to say if they continue to be painted as villains long term without an opportunity to do things right, funding they are not required to make could come under question.

Mate that is an example of rubbish governance - threatening the vulnerable who are seen to be on the weaker side of the JV and who are the future of the code, to remind everyone who is boss. Piss weak even to mildly suggest that.

It wreaks of people who think we are at the mercy of them regardless of their own inept management.
They are the single biggest handbrake to the club moving forward while ever there is no accountability for their performance other than to maintain control and feed the us against them mantra when they are in damage control.

They are not obliged to fund Balmain, but do it for the good of Wests Tigers.
As I’ve said to you before, I don’t blame you or anyone else for wanting the Indekent board members returned and I don’t blame anyone for expressing dissatisfaction,
The dissatisfaction expressed by Wests Tigers fans forced PVL to intervene and forced HBG to reinstate the previously dismissed board members, so the supporters voices were clearly heard,
I heard Darcyvtidsy say Wests Tigers voices are not being heard, the actions as mentioned above prove that statement to be incorrect.

How can you keep repeating the same bs logic in your head and simply believe it's true?
HBG haven't listened to the fans once since they commissioned the review.
Reinstating the independents while also reinstating HBG members renders every single independent as useless. Just a visual tool to make it appear to those who don't look any deeper that HBG cares about professionalism and governance. There is still doubt whether they'll even return, why would they when they were disrespected so atrociously just 2 weeks ago, and our new being offered tokenistic positions?
Through their own negligence they were apparently caught unawares on two major projects that had been months or even years in the making. That's on them, not to me used as an excuse for sympathy

I was there, i saw one magpies jersey and one old fella in a magpies polo shirt. About 5 balmain jerseys....the other 99% wests tigers gear. But hey, lets conveniently ignore the 99% to support our push to make this divisive and to make ourselves the victim.

I will however give you the old bloke in the polo, I walked with him back up to Ashfield Mall after the fizz had gone out of proceedings.

I am going to defend Vicious here, I don't agree with him. But his arguments aren't swiss cheese.

The core argument HBG care. They could easily say "it's in Wests Ashfield's interest to expand further into Ashfield". Yes they are non for profit but they don't have to spend their money on the Wests Tigers. HBG spend a lot of money on this club and they could turn away.

I do agree with Vicious, HBG 'care'.


My take is this:
HBG don't care about Campbelltown. I said it before I will say it again. The biggest decision this board took was expanding Campbelltown stadium. This is being interprited as a Magpies Vs Balmain fight and I don't believe it is that. I believe it is HBG wanting to keep the Tigers closer to Ashfield, we just saw recent upgrades to our club facilities and I believe this whole mess is over the 50 Million for Campbelltown stadium.

HBG and Wests Ashfield may feel it's not in their clubs interests to expand south to C'town. They haven't said this, they are feeding us BS. It's an arugment that would make sense to me**.


Now I don't agree with Vicious. I think Dennis Burgess needs to be reprimanded over all of this. I would love it if PVL went in and said "Dennis must step down as a Director for 5 years". Yet PVL heard both sides, reinstated the directors and gave HBG more board representation??? PVL should have slammed the hammer but I suspect he did not because of similar arguments Vicious is making.

So doing the bare minimum shows you care? I take it you're not married or in a serious relationship then.
They currently own the license to Wests Tigers in the nrl. They should be doing everything they can to make sure the team is a success on and off the field. Yet for 15 years they have not.
How many 'owners' of a sports team refuse to invest in that team? It doesn't make sense and any notion that some make that the 12th reshuffle of deckchairs on the Wests Ashfield Titanic board will radically change the output and decisions that the previous 11 editions of the board is just naive. If Wests had competent leaders, capable of making sound business decisions, why would they have kept them in hiding for the past 15 years?
