Willie mason ???

I too have mixed emotions on this.
if he plays to his potential on field, then it will be worth it.
only time will tell, as we all know his influence off field can be of concern.

I have faith that the administration of the club have weighed up the possible negatives against the probable gains.

I'm happy to go with their decision, if Willie comes I will support him as strongly as the other guys and the signing would certainly only strengthen our forward pack.

It would also allow Matt Groat just that little bit longer to develop.

So could we be looking at -

8\. Mason
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Ellis
12\. Blair
13\. Fulton

14\. Heighnington
15\. Woods
16\. Bell
17\. Utility - perhaps Utai or Reddy?

Can't beleive this topic is still dragging on. Surely someone on here who claims to have inside info can confirm by now wether or not we're signing him

Its not a black/white situation though is it.

I wouldn't be surprised if he comes to the Tigers.
With Begovich deciding to quit the Tigers and concentrate on his chippie business after being overlooked last year, there probably is a vacant forward position available.
And also Payten retiring too.

Only time will tell

I hope we do get him. I think he could help us and we could help him.

He needs a clean slate and he will get that with us. Besides, who wouldn't want to play in a side with Marshall, Ellis, Farah, Blair etc…..

Although I was excited about Lote too, and he hasn't turned out quite as I expected...

Happy new year all.

I can confirm sheensy has spoken with Mason. But no medical or anything like that has been done. But it's well and truly on the cards.

I am hoping that the only thing Sheens spoke to Willie about was to move his sleeping blanket before he rang the police

There must be better options out there than him surely

Good thing is he isnt a dud, he can definitely play. Just a matter of whether he will still be in form. I would love to see him back in the NRL, but at this stage im unsure if id prefer him at Tigers or elsewhere.

If he does sign here then he is a Tiger and ill support him.

We need more forward depth so I honestly wouldn't be upset if we did sign him.

Nothing he has ever done has been that bad. Look at how gallen turned his misemeanors around. Maybe willy can do the same.

I must say Willie coming on board to the Tigers is split down the middle on this forum…

I'm with hammertime it wouldn't be that bad to have him signed... I can see Sheen's would play him as an impact player off the bench

He will most likley start off the bench and work his way back up. Guys do u realise if we sign him and he gets a starting spot they are all internationls from 8 to 13 go u tigers.

In Mason's case, former international.

Soooooo by that theory, it would be great to sign Terry Hill now as well? would give us another international centre, right?

13 Pages on this gimp? I was converted when Matt Utai signed because I used to hate him, but I wouldn't be converted with Mason.

I too trust the club to do the best thing, but this would be treading a very fine line.
