Willie mason ???

Yes i would sign him, but how long before he would be match fit for first grade.

Whilst Mason isn't match fit he is certainly not unfit or overweight he has been training with the same personal trainer that Reni Matua used during his suspension.

I think he would be good for the club in terms of making some of the other players pull their fingers out. There is no pressure on our players as our depth in the forwards isn't there.

I have previously voted to sign Mason if the money is there. I have continuously read comments about the team requiring an experienced prop. No disrespect to our young forwards who are playing very well, but after watching the Manly and Dragons games, these posters now have my support. We require another experienced prop. On the other side of the coin, If Gallaway and Ellis were playing and not injured, I would probably no be writing this post. I believe Matt Bell is playing the house down at present also. Well down Matty.

At his best he can be very good, damaging.
At his worst he can be an embarrasing skirt.
Cant see him lining up for the Raiders, no off season, no match fitness

Hearing rumors Willie Mason might be joining the tigers. I for one applaud this signing if we can pull it off.. We lack size, we lack mongrel and experience and Willie mason brings all 3.

If we add mason to our roster it will be a massive plus and could be the added xfactor we need to go deep this year.

If true this is very good news IMO! We needed the extra depth in the forwards.
I hope Willie brings a good attitude with him because if he does he could be a huge addition which could add some more mongrel to our pack.

His time as a leper from the game may just be what he required.

Comebacks can go wrong though. Eg: The Piggy Riddell bullet we dodged

Where did we get the money for mason I heard that the reason we got rid of brown cause we were told by Schubert to get rid of someone cause we were way over the cap

Yes. And we would have been in negotiations with Mason for longer than 2 weeks. This thing with Schubert would have had to do with how we can fit Mason under the cap.

It was reported on the Terrorgraph that Tim Sheens is searching for an immediate solution to our lack of size and experience in the front row.

The two names mention were Willie Mason and George Rose.

When I think of this, put together with the article written about Humphries meeting with Shubert regarding salary cap queries and rumours circling regarding "Mason to announce a clib signing him at the end of the week" (for the last few weeks), I think it only points to one outcome.

I won't be disappointed either (if he keeps out of the media).
