 It looks like Mason is wearing the Magpies Heritage Jersey in that cartoon… Its definitely popular?!

Well is certainly not the Knights jersey

Was hoping I was having a nightmare with the talk that Mason is SSD Bugger

No way, tigers don't want thugs, we want people who can play football. Besides he is past his peak anyway.

Too late now- besides he's not a thug.
There are plenty of cheap shot merchants who make Mason look like an angel.
He will be a GREAT bench player - and maybe the x- factor we need to win the comp this year.

He wont be signed for his cutting edge take on the modern game (or for that matter any unique knowledge of the existential teachings of Soren Kierkegaard) .
No no, he'll just be a very large lump of meat asked to make no mistakes, tuck the pill and run headlong into other lumps of meat.
_"Don't over think it Mase"_ (as if), your here to rack up some serious upper body bruising (yours or theirs/ were not fussy)… oh, and play the ball quick.

will be great to sign him , experience is way better than young players playing well as soon as they come into the top grade as they need to do it week in week out this has yet to be prooven , im not picking on woods , groat etc , just saying mason has been around and knows what to do in big games , and yes he will run straight and hard , we go sideways to often , he will help them develop , injuries are a concern up front as they do get belted week in week out , again he will help us with this ,

i heard it was tigers or newcastle that he will sign with, and it would be done by monday or tuesday next week i have said many times before he would be handy and it was said before big red got hurt , if we lost ellis and red at the same time we could be in some bother , experience , bennett looking at him also tells me he would be a good back up

Unless we will be paying Mason 400K a season (which we will not be) saying he will be another O'Hara is ridiculous.

He is a low cost, experienced option. Good move if true. We lack depth in the front row.

Hybrid I was talking not in monetary terms , but in terms of expectations

At least O"Hara was not a loud ,overopinionated club wrecking clown who in his opinion is always getting picked on despite his actions Actually if the two were on the same price I'd be inclined to lean towards O'Hara (but would choose neither)

For me that is saying something to pick O'Hara over Mason

I'm with snod. I'm hoping it might prove to be an astute acquisition, especially if he is cheap.

I don't get all the resentment towards O'Hara. To me he could never get a look in coz he wasn't one of Sheens 'boys'

Ohara was terrible. He had that one year where he was unstopable for the raiders…then we signed him, he looked like he shrunk or something!

O'Hara was poor for the first couple of games and then he got injured or dropped and wasn't seen for ages. He played a few games towards the end of his tenure that were quality.

He's a funny bloke. I had a dig at him on Facebook once and we shared some friendly banter lol.

for god sake bulldogs cowgirls roosters all got the spoon the times he was at the club he is OVERRATED he had ONE good game in his entire life and that was the 04 grand final he did NOTHING DUCKEGG ZERO for NSW and he is past his prime anyway it would be like signing Carl Webb like the eels did don't waste money on this clown

Can you EVER say anything positive. Just once?

The season will be bloody over before he actually signs! In any case, it's gonna take a hell of a lot more than Mason to save us. We are hopeless!

I wasn't really on board with this, but after tonight, yeah seriously, he can't be any worse than the guys currently "playing".
