Willie mason ???

Mason would at least make other teams think twice before coming through our middle third, and that would help a heap,we don't have an intimadating player without Ellis.

This is where Blair needs to stand up

But do the sponsors?

I think I've stated before it was a salary cap issue because club had him as a union player coming to league which gives you a discount on salary cap but NRL auditor denied that.

The salary cap consequences of signing Mason was/is the sticking point. The sponsors and fans might grumble but it was Schubert's ruling that saw the deal go off the boil, or so I have been told.

were we having salary cap trouble in trying to sign Mason before or after we let Mitch Brown go to the dogs ?

where there is smoke, there is fire, and with the amount of smoke here it looks like the whole of Concord is on fire…..

our club could sign him , just wont but if big red limps off the field this week and him and ellis are out the club should be ashamed of its decision , and then it will be to late , sponsors dont run the club , and tigers are the most marketable team in the comp , we will get sponsors no problem humpty , pick up the phone , just do it

It's obvious moors is on the outer release him to free up the space. The NRL needs to look at the NBA NFL and MLB when it comes to irregular cap situations, if this was one of those organizations we could "deactivate" moors and free the space to sign mason. All it would mean is moors couldn't play FG for the tigers for 2012 once that occurs or find another club. IMO moors is better then Fulton and groat and should playing ahead of both of them

c'mon SG he's not better than Fulton, but maybe Groat is still a bit underdone, in any case he could be a good bench player(Moors).

Fulton would struggle to get a bench spot in most teams he is over rated by many on here

I don't agree, he's a tackling machine, so what's wrong with him, very rarely do you see him have a bad game, maybe we are looking at a different person :crazy

We were going to sign Ray Cashmere from the Cutters until they blocked it. We obviously wanted BOTH Mason AND Cashmere. Just sign one of them. Sign Mason now!! Surely we could afford Mason on match payments?

I'm sure I saw Mason tweet the other day that he was paid out 500 000 euros, unless he's taking the p*** and/or I'm missing something. If he's serious about a return to league he could get away with playing for next to nothing this year after receiving that sort of coin.

Fulton would be very handy in a team that goes forward.

Here, we rely on him for go forward, using him as a battling ram up the middle where he is simply too small.
